The National Tour of Broadway sensation WICKED will welcome new cast members beginning next month!

The Broadway sensation WICKED will welcome new cast members to the National Tour beginning performances Tuesday, March 22 at the First Interstate Center for the Arts in Spokane, WA.

Lisa Howard will take over the role of Madame Morrible in the National Tour of WICKED, beginning performances tomorrow February 1, 2022 at Centennial Hall in Tucson, AZ. 

WICKED will be the first Broadway tour to resume performances in the U.S. following the pandemic shutdown.  The musical will relaunch at the Music Hall at Fair Park in Dallas from August 3 – September 5, 2021, kicking off the 2021-2022 Germania Insurance Broadway Series presented by Dallas Summer Musicals.

The producers of the hit musical have also announced complete casting for the relaunch of the North American Tour. Talia Suskauer (Elphaba), Allison Bailey (Glinda), Sharon Sachs (Madame Morrible) and Tony Award and Drama Desk Award winner Cleavant Derricks (The Wizard) will return to their roles.

Ghostlight Records has announced the release of Lerner & Loewe's Brigadoon - New York City Center 2017 Cast Recording in physical, digital and streaming formats on Friday, December 7. Brigadoon has book and lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner and music by Frederick Loewe. Released to celebrate both the 70th anniversary of the original production of the show and the Alan Jay Lerner Centennial, the recording is based on the New York City Center Annual Gala Production, which was directed and choreographed by Christopher Wheeldon, with Jack Viertel serving as artistic advisor. Brigadoon stars Kelli O'Hara, Patrick Wilson and Stephanie J. Block, and features the Encores! Orchestra led by Music Director Rob Berman

Maine State Music Theatre closes its 60th Anniversary season with the smash hit, Singin' in the Rain. This classic hit runs from August 8-25.

Encores! will present Me and My Girl as the final production of the Encores! at 25 season at New York City Center. Carnegie Hall announced today that its one-night-only benefit concert performance of Leonard Bernstein's Candide on Wednesday, April 18 at 7:00 p.m. in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage will feature Broadway starsRyan Silverman (Side Show, Cry-Baby,Chicago) as Maximilian and Bryonha Marie Parham (The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess, AfterMidnight, Prince of Broadway) as Paquette. They join the previously announced Paul Appleby (Candide), Erin Morley (Cunegonde),Patricia Racette (Old Lady), William Burden(Governor), and John Lithgow (Voltaire / Dr. Pangloss).

It's true that there are countless musicals from yesteryear that are, and always will be, timeless classics. On the other hand, there is also a constant flow of new material being created, which runs the gamut in terms of quality and success. Many of these new works do not succeed the way that the age-old classics do. Others, though, become almost instant classics in their own right as they find critical and popular acclaim. A Gentleman's Guide to Love & Murder announced today that three members from the original Broadway Production - Kristen Hahn, Jennifer Smith, and Catherine Walker - will join the cast of the First National Tour.
