Lauded as a "vocal tour de force of surpassing splendor", tenor Dane Suarez has developed an exciting and varied career. His 2021-2022 season saw returns to Opera Memphis as Canio (Pagliacci); to Opera in the Heights as Manrico (Il trovatore), Lensky (Eugene Onegin), and Justice Scalia (Scalia/Ginsburg); and to his alma mater (Butler University) as guest tenor soloist in Verdi's Requiem. Suarez made two company debuts as Rodolfo (La bohème) with Newport Classical and Opera Birmingham, a debut with Penn Square Music Festival as Justice Scalia (Scalia/Ginsburg), and role and company debuts as Pollione (Norma) with Festival Opera. Dane was seen in concert with New Jersey Festival Orchestra, Maryland Opera, and Il Cenacolo Club of SF. Future engagements include his Off-Broadway debut in Kate Tarker's Montag (World Premiere) with Soho Rep, and a return to the role of Don José (Carmen) with Festival Opera.

For the 2020-2021 season, Mr. Suarez joined Opera Memphis where he debuted Scalia in Scalia/Ginsburg and debuted Memphis Symphony Orchestra for their annual holiday pops concert. In 2020, Mr. Suarez was slated to sing Rodolfo (La bohème) with Fort Worth Opera and debut the Title Role in Faust with Opera Neo, both were canceled due to COVID. Other recent engagements include Pinkerton (Madama Butterfly), Alfredo (La traviata), Canio (Pagliacci), Erik (Der fliegende Holländer), Ruggero (La rondine), and Greenhorn (Moby-Dick) as resident artist with Opera San José; Macduff (Macbeth) and Fenton (Falstaff) with West Bay Opera; Erik (Der fliegende Holländer) with Baltimore Concert Opera; Idomeneo (Idomeneo) and Lensky (Eugene Onegin) with Opera Neo; Rodolfo (La bohème) with Pacific Opera Project, Opera in the Heights, and Crested Butte Music Festival; Don José (Carmen) with Aspen Music Festival, Opera Memphis, Pacific Opera Project, and Muddy River Opera Company; Joe (La fanciulla del West) with New York City Opera; and Ely Parker (Appomattox) with Washington National Opera. Dane currently resides in Wilmington with his wife and two beautiful pups.
