On June 8, 2017, The New York Pops will return to its summer home, Forest Hills Stadium in Queens, NY, for a program of music by legendary film composer John Williams. After two successful seasons at the open-air venue, The New York Pops is proud to return to the stadium for an evening featuring the musicians of the orchestra in some of the most popular music ever written for the silver screen. The orchestra's Kids in the Balcony program, which has expanded greatly since its offshoot Kids in the Stadium was introduced in 2015 thanks in part to the generosity of concert presenters Madison House Presents, will offer more than 1,500 Queens children and their families an opportunity to attend and learn about live music for free.

On Today, November 29 at 8:00PM at the St. Ignatius of Antioch Church, 552 West End Ave. at 87th St, American Classical Orchestra presents a program of J.S Bach's cantatas; Es wartet alles auf dich, opening chorus BWV 187; Nun Komm der Heiden Heiland, opening chorus BWV 62; Christ lag in Todesbanden, BWV 4;  Cantata: Aus der Tiefen rufe ich, BWV 131;  Cantata: Nach dir, Herr, verlanget mich BWV 150 ,  Meine  Seel erhebt den Herren, opening chorus BWV 10 and  Sinfonia from Cantata: Ich habe meine Zuversicht, BWV 188. Cantatas were the daily work of the master composer. A selection of Bach's most uplifting cantatas will be sung by the acclaimed American Classical Orchestra Chorus with selected soloists in the ideal acoustic hall of St. Ignatius of Antioch Church. This concert is conducted by Thomas Crawford.

For her annual Thanksgiving week show at 54 Below, Callaway crafted an exciting world premiere night of music centered on the songs of women songwriters who have inspired her. BroadwayWorld was there along with Michael Feinstein, Ginny Mancinni, Arlene Dahl, Clint Holmes, Marc Cherry and others. Billie Holiday's 'God Bless the Child,' Carole King's 'Will You Love Me Tomorrow?', and Dorothy Field's 'The Way You Look Tonight' are among the gems carefully chosen by he Platinum-selling composer and lyricist. Classics by Peggy Lee, Joni Mitchell, and Cynthia Weil, as well as songs by friends Michelle Brourman and Amanda McBroom reflect the unique female perspective on love, life, and the pursuit of happiness.

'This Is Cabaret', the NPR Radio Program hosted by Ann Hampton Callaway taped two segments before a live audience at Birdland yesterday and BroadwayWorld was there.

The Broadway at Birdland concert series was proud to present a Very Special Jamie deRoy & friends on Monday, September 22 at 7pm. The one-night-only event benefited the Actors Fund.

An in-store reception was hosted by Paul Stuart and The Wall Street Journal with special guest hosts two-time Grammy Award winner and a two-time Tony Award winner and 2006 American Theater Hall of Fame inductee, Patti Lupone and director and Tony Award-winning lyricist (for Hairspray) Scott Wittman. Entertainment throughout the evening was provided by the legendary Broadway orchestrator (and one of 12 people to have won all four major show business awards referred to as EGOT: Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony) Jonathan Tunick and his 'Broadway Moonlighters'. The show is a loosely-based musical autobiography outlining their lives from their childhood in Chicago, to their move to New York City, to the ever-continuing adventures of their luminous careers.

The March 15 performance at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark is the NJSO's Music Education Night event, which ends with #OrchestraYou-a special post-concert session in which audience members can perform their own orchestral instruments alongside NJSO musicians (advance registration is required).

On December 21 at 2:00PM in Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage, Carnegie Hall's Weill Music Institute presented A Charlie Brown Christmas in a special holiday Family Concert with The New York Pops and Music Director Steven Reineke. The staged concert version of Charles M. Schulz's iconic television special brought the beloved Peanuts characters to life through special choreography performed by dancers from New York Theatre Ballet and child actors from TADA! Youth Theater. Tony Award nominee John Tartaglia (Avenue Q, Sesame Street) narrates the heart-warming story, underscored by the music of Vince Guaraldi, performed by The New York Pops and Judith Clurman's Essential Voices USA.
