Theatre Impresario Robert Galinsky has announced the “Free Open Rehearsal Space” for piano players at the  newly renovated 5C Cafe in the East Village of Manhattan (68 Avenue C at 5th Street.)

Movies That Matter is a new film series curated and presented in a collaborative partnership between Caltech Public Programming, the Caltech Center for Inclusion and Diversity, and the student-led Caltech Y. The films in this series address current concerns in various realms of science as well as important matters of social justice. Movies That Matter launches with a virtual screening of the 2021 award-winning documentary “100 Years From Mississippi” directed by Tarabu Betserai Kirkland on Friday, February 11, at 7:30 p.m.

TV's Barry 'Shabaka' Henley ('Bob Hearts Abishola,' 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,' 'Better Call Saul') will star in a benefit reading of Robert Galinsky's hit play The Bench: A Homeless Love Story, directed by Drama Desk winner Jay O. Sanders, streaming on Facebook on Saturday, October 10, 10 PM est.

Robert Galinsky's celebrated solo show The Bench, has received praise in both NYC and LA with extended sold out runs over the past three years. Last year STAGE Network filmed The Bench, directed by Tyler Milliron. On Saturday, December 21 Galinsky will host a benefit screening of his film to benefit City Kids. The event will be held at The East Village Playhouse (340 East 6th Street), doors will open at 6:30 and the screening will begin at 7 PM. New casting announcements have been made for the CBS multi-camera comedy pilot Bob Hearts Abishola, according to Deadline. Folake Olowofoyeky has been cast in the title role opposite Billy Gardell. Christine Ebersole, Maribeth Monroe, Shola Adewusi, Barry Shabaka Henley, and Matt Jones round out the family for the series, created by Chuck Lorre, Eddie Gorodetsky and Al Higgins, who have teamed with The Daily Show contributor Gina Yashere.
