Anwen Rees

Veteran British screen actor, Sir John Hurt, has passed away at aged 77. His diverse career included turns on screen on film, television, and as a voice actor. He is best known for roles in a number of blockbuster films including Alien, the Harry Potter series, and as the title character in the film, The Elephant Man.

One of the most hotly-anticipated arts events of 2014, Terry Gilliam's production of Benvenuto Cellini for English National Opera opened at the London Coliseum last night.

Gate Theatre Dublin's production of "Krapp's Last Tape" by Samuel Beckett, performed by John Hurt and directed by Michael Colgan, opened at Center Theatre Group's Kirk Douglas Theatre last night, October 10, and runs through November 4, 2012.
