This evening. Center Theatre Group will dim its lights in honor of screen legend and philanthropist Kirk Douglas who passed away today, February 5, 2020.

On Today, February 28, 2019, the Women's Cancer Research Fund (WCRF) Honorary Chairs Rita Wilson, Tom Hanks, Kate Capshaw and Steven Spielberg, along with WCRF co-founders Anne Douglas, Quinn Ezralow, Marion Laurie, Kelly Chapman Meyer, and Jamie Tisch will welcome guests to An Unforgettable Evening.  The event will take place at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel, and benefit the Women's Cancer Research Fund, a program of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF).

Drury Lane Theatre continues its 2017-2018 season with 42nd Street, with music by Harry Warren, lyrics by Al Dubin, book by Michael Stewart and Mark Bramble, and original Broadway direction and dances by Gower Champion. 42nd Street is based on the novel by Bradford Ropes and was originally produced on Broadway by David Merrick. This production is directed by Michael Heitzman with choreography by Jared Grimes. 42nd Street runs now through January 7, 2018 at Drury Lane Theatre, 100 Drury Lane in Oakbrook Terrace. George Street Playhouse presents American Son, a ripped-from-the-headlines drama by Christopher Demos-Brown that earned the 2016 Laurents/Hatcher Foundation Award for a new play by an emerging playwright. The emotionally charged play stars George Street favorites John Bolger (GSP's Outside Mullingar, Twelve Angry Men) and Suzzanne Douglas (GSP's Lady Day at Emerson's Bar and Grill, Wit), as well as Mark Junek (Broadway's The Performers) and Mark Kenneth Smaltz (Law & Order: SVU). Performances run now through February 26, 2017.
