Part mystery, part cathartic family drama ruminating on legacies of evil and forgiveness, director Tiffany Nichole Greene’s production grips us tightly from the outset and does not easily let us go. Thankfully, along this 80-minute journey, we also get to laugh as well as exhale.

THE TRILOGY Examines Challenges Faced by African American Men


Three theater veterans who originally connected at the Paul Robeson Theater have come together to present The Trilogy - An Evening of One-Act Plays at the Leonard Nimoy Thalia Theatre at Symphony Space, June 22-30. Co-produced by playwright Gary Batson (Phoenix Arts) and actor Eugene Daniels (Daniels Productions), this production represents the completion of an idea that was postponed by the untimely death of their third partner Arnold Beauchamp, former artistic director of the Robeson. Now directing the production is Evria Ince-Waldron, also from The Paul Robeson Theater.

The 17th Annual Tribeca Film Festival Announces Short Film Lineup With Narrative, Documentary, & Animated Shorts


The 17th annual Tribeca Film Festival, presented by AT&T, today announced its lineup of 55 diverse and engaging short films in competition, including 29 world premieres. The selected shorts include a cross-section of international and U.S. filmmakers and were curated from a record 4,754 submissions. For the second year running, 40% of the selections are directed by female filmmakers. The short films will be presented in 10 distinct competition programs, which consist of five narrative, three documentary, one animation, and one hybrid program. The program will also include special screenings and the 12th annual Tribeca/ESPN Sports Film Festival, sponsored by Mohegan Sun. The Shorts Film program, sponsored by Nutella®, runs throughout the Festival, April 18-29.

Theatre intersects with visual art and poetry in this haunting and galvanizing perspective of the Medusa myth. Kiss Me or Cut Off My Head will play a three week limited engagement at the Soho Photo Gallery (15 White Street, New York, NY 10013). Performances begin Thursday, August 20th and continue through Today, September 5th, 2015 . Opening Night is Thursday, August 20th at 7:30 pm.
