Award-winning Scottish theatre maker, Andy Manley, co-creator of the critically acclaimed children's work, White returns to Arts Centre Melbourne with his new hit show for young children, Stick By Me. The quirky, non-verbal show about friendship, play and the importance of treasuring little things will be performed  from 14 - 18 January, 2020 in the Playhouse Rehearsal Room.

Traverse Theatre Company Celebrates Record Breaking Spell Of Touring


The Traverse Theatre is excited that March-June 2019 will mark a record breaking spell of touring for the company - with five homegrown full productions touring to 15 different locations, in four continents, totaling 111 individual performances over 51 days. During that period, over one busy day - 17 April - we will have four productions playing in four different locations simultaneously.

Red Bridge Arts & Traverse Theatre Company's BLACK BEAUTY, a "five-star triumph" (The Guardian), gallops into the Wallis Annenberg Center for Performing Arts with a story of hope, friendship and courage from Friday, April 26 to Sunday, May 5, 2019, in The Wallis's Lovelace Studio Theater. Created by Andy Manley, Andy Cannon and Shona Reppe, this re-telling blends storytelling, music and puppetry, offering fun and adventure for fans of the book, the UK's classic TV show and those brand new to the tale. From the cozy horsebox they call home, Andy and Andy take the bit firmly between their teeth to weave the classic tale, as it has never been seen before. The production, which includes audience engagement, is recommended for families with kids ages 5 and older.

Saddle up and jump headlong into a tale where loneliness gives way to hope, friends become heroes and courage saves the day! Following two wins for Best Design and Best Production for Children, and five nominations including Best Director and Best New Play by the Critics' Awards for Theatre in Scotland, Black Beauty is a fun-filled twist on Anna Sewell's classic. With storytelling at its finest by Andy Manley and Andy Cannon and a versatile set full of surprises designed by Shona Reppe, Black Beauty canters onto the New Victory stage for its U.S. Premiere from March 16-25, 2018.
