Museum of Arts And Design Presents JUDITH LEIBER: CRAFTING A NEW YORK STORY, 4/4-6


From April 4 through August 6, 2017, the Museum of Arts and Design (MAD) presents Judith Leiber: Crafting a New York Story, an exhibition that focuses on the life and craft of America's most enduring and iconic handbag designer, tracking her rise from patternmaker and Holocaust survivor to venerated female entrepreneur.

Geoffrey Bradfield, Barbara and Donald Tober, Gillian and Sylvester Miniter, Eleanora and Michael Kennedy and Ambassador John Loeb and Sharon Handler Loeb co-hosted a special VIP Preview of acclaimed celebrity and society photographer Annie Watt's Impromptu Portraits at the prestigious Galerie Dumonteil on Park Avenueand 57th Street on Tuesday to benefit the American Heart Association. The incisive images of celebrities, political figures, designers and society's elite filled the walls of the elegant gallery. The images were presented in a variety of sizes and formats, classic 8 x 10, Oversize and snappy Polaroids and many were scooped up by the attendees.

The third edition of Art Southampton, the leading international contemporary and modern art fair for acquiring investment quality works of art opened last night with huge success, where top collectors, curators, art advisors and influencers kicked off the weekend-long event. Taking place on the 18-acre estate behind the Southampton Elks Lodge, the Platinum VIP saw over 1,500 top collectors of the East End, and throughout the elegant evening, attendance exceeded last year's VIP Preview of 4,200 guests. The worlds of art, fashion, design, theater and media came together for “Reflections: Art & Beauty” a one-night- only exhibition of significant contemporary art works to benefit Robert Wilson's internationally acclaimed arts incubator The Watermill Center. Hosted by Sherle Wagner International, the premier source, world-wide, for luxury bath hardware, and bath accessories and the recently launched Fairweather Magazine dedicated to following La Dolce Vita world-wide, the Vernissage drew over 400 guests to the gorgeous showroom. A magnificent sculpture in painted and chromed steel, “Rev. E. Piscapalian Study” by the renowned John Chamberlain towered over attendees as they arrived and were greeted by Evan Geoffroy, CEO, Sherle Wagner, Alexandra Fairweather and Eric Goodman, co-founders Fairweather Magazine and Pinki Patel of The Watermill Center.
