Miami New Drama announced the return of the world premiere production  A Wonderful World, a new musical based on the life and songs of jazz legend and American icon Louis Armstrong. Originally scheduled for the spring of 2020, the production will now play at the Colony Theatre from December 4 - January 16, with opening night set for December 11.

The greatest guitar players of today and tomorrow will be featured at the 2017 Wilson Center Guitar Festival on August 17-19, as 77 semi-finalists from 63 cities around the world travel to the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts (Wilson Center) in Brookfield, Wis., to compete for their share of $32,000 in prize money.

Following the success of their inaugural season, which included NYT Critic's Pick Lone Star Spirits by Josh Tobiessen, Crowded Outlet, is announcing a season of new work created by multi-disciplinary artists with their new Generator program.

As artists, actors, and overall human beings, we receive rejection all the time. But how we deal with rejection...that's an art. Rejection 101 isn't taught in any major perhaps because it cannot be defined or streamlined. Everyone deals with rejection differently. I asked a few artists that I look up to how they deal with rejection, in hopes that their methods inspire me to try something new:

AFTER ORLANDO, directed by Wendy C. Goldberg, is an international theater action comprised of more than 70 short plays written in response to the tragic shooting at Pulse Nightclub on June 12, 2016.

Crowded Outlet, is proud to announce the New York premiere of Marisa Michelson's Marigold Chor Ensemble. A woman, Maggie, (Danielle Slavick) who is a sales representative for a medical supply company checks in to a long-term residential hotel in Temp, Arizona for a month-long stay. Right away she establishes an uneasy sort of alliance with two hotel employees, Bobby (Alexandro Rodriguez) and Theresa (Leah Karpel). This curious triangle of people in transition forms the nucleus of Laura Jacqmin's Residence, a play about the ephemerality of human existence.

 Crowded Outlet, a new not-for-profit development and producing organization committed to harnessing the creative powers of a variety of artistic voices and theatrical visions, launches in January 2016 with the first event in a planned monthly developmental series called Surge, offering theatre artists a chance to test their new ideas and dawning projects. A full production is also on the horizon, for Spring 2016.
