Please beware of "annmiller07" in Philadelphia, PA. She never paid me for the 2 Hamilton tkts I sent to her home address. We agreed in writing that I would sell her my two tickets for the Public Theater performance on Feb 22, 2015. I wanted to believe I could trust another theater lover. We all try to help each other on this Board, while enjoying some humor. I have the emails that prove she received the tickets and intended to send me payment. Another email, after she saw the show, said that "the check was in the mail." My father died in Aug of this year and I wanted to give the money from the ticket sale to my mother to help with her expenses. I am sure annmiller07 will change her username on this site, but she lives in Philadelphia and I have her address (given to me to mail her the tickets for her and her boyfriend). I will respect her privacy but if any of you have any dealings in PA, please contact me on my PM and I will tell you if this is the same person. I know Hamilton is fabulous but this woman paid a moral price much higher than any ticket price. So guys, be careful out there.

So sorry that this happened to you, and so sorry about your father.

Unfortunately, this is the harsh reality of the world today. You have to be cautious and can never trust anyone. Is there somebody that this can be reported to? Something should certainly be done about it, whether you receive proper compensation or get the original tickets back.

I guess this just shows us how some people can be truly awful and do something stupid like this.

You sure you have the user name right? I'm not seeing that profile come up.

I don't think anything can be done, as OP said the performance her perpetrator attending the performance in February of this year (ten months ago) when Hamilton was playing at the Public Theatre. The production has since moved to Broadway.

OP, that really is awful what happened to you. But seeing as how ten months have passed, what do you hope to happen? It seems like you won't ever be pain, which is awful. Make sure in the future you obtain all payment in transactions such as these before sending the tickets to the scammer.

Try a local small claims court in your area.

Take this info and report it to the police.  You don't have to go to court for a civil action, considering it was a criminal act.

Ironically selling a ticket in her final appearance. Maybe she got the money then went to the Billy Porter's final performance of Kinky Boots anyway.

I would not go to small claims court (even though you could). I would set up a venture capital funding to pay for the funeral. I am sorry that someone would be so rude and wrong in this age. Also I wish that you could sell your tix via an official channel.. My condolences https://www.gofundme.com/

Have you checked with the USPS to see if this falls under mail fraud? They take mail fraud complaints pretty seriously; you can fill out the form online. I've used mail fraud complaints a time or two to get merchandise not received from people who I have paid for said merch; pretty sure the reverse has got to be true too?

I apologize - a kind member of this Board corrected her username for me:  anmiller07.  Just one "n"

Thanks to everyone for their kind comments. It was my own fault. And compared to the death of a loved one, it's not worth wasting any anger. But thanks so much.

I guess the Ticketmaster resale option makes a teeny bit more sense to me now.

One question, why are you interested in protecting her privacy?  I'm just curious.

Now I'm more curious now that I see her profile says she's male.

I think the default is male and sometimes people don't think to change it. I want to make a joke about male posters with women's screen names, but Mama's tired.

It's cruddy this happened to you.

It IS a guy.  A google search of that username--without the extra "n"--shows his name is Antoine Miller.  To the OP, I'm sorry this happened to you, but I don't understand the timeline; you said the show was in February, but your dad didn't pass away until August.  So how were you planning on using the money for that back in February?  And why are you just now posting about it?  Not questioning you, just curious about the sequence of events.

Also, if you have his address and his name, it really wouldn't be that hard to press charges, or at least try the "online humiliation" tactic until he pays you.

I think the OP is just a very kind person that kept waiting for payment and things just happened over that time.

That poster is still active here on the boards...at least enough that I knew the name even with the typo. Try changing your subject line to include his name on this post which might get his attention, even if he doesn't post on it.

Never sell tickets without getting the money first. I had made this mistake with a friend over 10 years ago and from that time forward I would never do any dealings without getting the money first. Prevents a ton of headaches.

As Doo Wah Diddy pointed out, a simple Google search reveals tons about this dude, pix, workplace, etc.  I m sorry you had to learn this lesson the hard way, but BE a BIGGER Person and do not retaliate online or elsewhere.  You seem to have a mature attitude about this.  The guy is just an unethical schmuck .

Be the bigger person?  This person STOLE from the OP.  Are you really suggesting that's ok And the OP should just forget about it?

And no, I don't think this is mail fraud...nothing was done through the mail.  Just saying something was mailed isn't a crime, just a lie.
