In honor of World AIDS Day, a touching song 'you must listen' to

'Yard Sale' is an award-winning song by Tom Andersen, based on something he witnessed during the early days of AIDS in San Francisco. It's been performed by numerous theater and cabaret artists, including Australian star David Campbell.

Campbell says: 'When I heard Tom sing this song, I was floored. I'd never heard a story song like that. ... Usually, when I sing it, you can hear a pin drop. I know Tom wrote it because of the AIDS crisis, but so many people come up to me and say that that 'cancer song' is so great. And now the song has a life of its own.'

Seth Rudetsky adds: '[Yard Sale] has a simple, beautiful melody. It's so well-written and makes me cry as I play it. You must listen.'
