Couldn't be more excited to finally see Kathleen Turner on stage! I bet she's the one who decides to get the gender reassignment.

I'm glad someone explained that, because I was going to say that without a good director, Turner and Cox were going to be totally unbelievable to me as a couple.

How does Deborah have time? LOL She's doing Bodyguard tour, Josephine (which is apparently coming to Broadway at some point) She's doing lots of theatre

I saw Ms. Turner in Bakersfield Mist last year... a truly uninspired play, but such a fabulous performance!

She truly is one of the great actresses working today and capable of taking anything and elevating it to a much higher level.

So I know Deborah Cox is a phenomenal singer, but how is she as an actress? Never seen her on stage. I would imagine she's pretty good to be cast alongside Kathleen Turner.

I have a few queries about this. 

 

1) Deborah Cox has dropped out due to increasing conflicts. Isn't this something they should have known when announcing her casting a few weeks prior?

 

2) It seems odd to me that they didn't know Turner was directing during the initial announcement.

 

3) The weirdest thing of all is the performance schedule which is Sat @ 8pm, Sun @7:30pm and Mon @ 8pm. Is this something that's typically done? This is a first for me unless it's a kid's show.

the schedule is odd but it means I am seeing this the night of the 27th, so I'm happy.

There was a different director initially attached, who withdrew due to family emergency.  There's no way to know for sure if the departure of Deborah Cox was directly related, but it's awfully coincidental.
