This isn't really Broadway and might be a bit early but Colin Quinn's New York Story starts previews on July 9 at Cherry Lane. Wonder if anyone is planning on going? Would like to know how you think about it.
I am a huge fan of Colin and think he is one of the funniest and most talented stand-ups working today. It's only running till mid August and I don't know if I'll be in town before then, but if I am, I will definitely see it. I saw his last two one-man shows Long Story Short and Unconstitutional, and they were terrific. I can almost guarantee you this show will be extremely funny and very insightful. The show in part at least, is based on a book he just released "The Coloring Book" which is his take on growing up in a multicultural environment in New York and race relations in general. I just bought it but haven't read it yet. He's not everyone's cup of tea but if you've liked his previous work and appreciate his style, I'm pretty sure you won't be disappointed by his new show.
