I'm surprised no one had discussed this yet. Next Sunday Andrea Martin will be discussing her new book "Lady Parts" with Nathan Lane. Afterwards her book will be for sale and there will be a book signing. I just bought a couple seats for it! Anyone else on BWW going? I honestly can't wait. It seems like it will be a hilarious night!

I got the book earlier this week and it's brilliant. I highly recommend it.

It's released nationwide on the 28th I think!

I'm 3/4 way through - but nothing in there thus far about lesbianism. She did have a relationship with a young 28 year old man - and she goes into detail about it.

Edit: Done the book now and there is not any mention of lesbianism.

It's a really interesting, funny, truthful, and heartfelt book. I highly recommend it to anyone who is a fan of hers or just wants a good read. Updated On: 9/7/14 at 12:50 AM

Almost back to my hotel in Jersey. Will write about it when I'm back! Great night!

I am really loving her book. Asked her sign my copy the other night at the show at her talk back at Pippin. What a great lady.

If you want to get the book now, go to STRAND books in NYC, they have a few copies left.

So last night was just great! Nathan Lane came out first to thunderous applause from a mostly older crowd. He took a good 2 minutes bragging about Andrea before she finally came out and took her seat. The night consisted of hilarious conversation between them. Andrea read "on the fly" selections from her book. That was just a small delightful preview of what was to come. They addressed that there were some dark, very real parts of her book. They referenced that when she was 59 she was in a relationship with a 28 year old man but did not go into details. She said that if you want to know you need to read the book. Afterwards I bought a copy and waited in the considerably short line for her to sign it. She was delightful and was more than happy to pose for a picture with those who asked. From what I heard last night I absolutely can not wait to start reading what is sure to be an amazing book.

I was there. (I had already read the book, not quite knowing what to expect. I loved it. You can read it out of order chapter-wise-they work well on their own.)

I loved the banter between the two of them. (And someone, please cast them together in a play! I'd love to see that!)

I also would love it if she recorded an audio version of her book-I loved HEARING her read from the book. (And I don't typically go for audio versions, but her inflections were just so amazing and I think it would be neat to have her recorded version.)
