Tony Award-winner Jessie Mueller played her final performance as Carole King in BEAUTIFUL Friday night, and award-winning Canadian actress Chilina Kennedy, who made her Broadway debut as 'Mary Magdalene' in JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, took over with her first performance Saturday. Sunday was opening night for Academy Award winner Helen Mirren, who returns to Broadway as Elizabeth II in Peter Morgan's THE AUDIENCE, directed by two-time Tony Award winner Stephen Daldry. The limited engagement runs through June 28 at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre. See more pictures from the opening night bows here!

The 10th anniversary of BROADWAY BACKWARDS capped off an exuberant, exhilarating and emotional evening of performances on Monday, March 9 with news that this year's event raised a record $466,717 for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center. Chicago's "six merry murderesses" were represented in a sexy, all-male version of "Cell Block Tango" featuring Joshua Buscher-West, Marty Lawson, Alfie Parker Jr., Waldemar Quinones-Villanueva, Alex Ringler and Ryan Steele. On Tuesday, we met the cast of WOLF HALL: PARTS 1 & 2, which will begin previews March 20 at the Winter Garden Theatre and officially open April 9. Click here to see more pictures of the cast!

Vanessa Hudgens stopped by GOOD MORNING AMERICA on Wednesday to talk about making her Broadway debut in GIGI. The actress later performed the number "Parisians" and the entire cast sang "The Night They Invented Champagne" from the Broadway-bound musical. Check out more photos from the appearance here!

The premiere of the new Broadway-bound musical FIRST WIVES CLUB opened Wednesday March 11 at the Oriental Theatre in Chicago where it will run through March 29. Sean Cullen, Mike McGowan, and Tony Award-nominee Gregg Edelman go head-to-head with Tony Award-winner Faith Prince as 'Brenda,' Wicked star Carmen Cusack as 'Annie,' and Mamma Mia's Christine Sherrill as 'Elise,' as "First Husbands" 'Morty,' 'Bill,' and 'Aaron,' respectively, in the new musical. We also got a sneak peek of a new one hour special, "The Untold Story of The Sound of Music," which will air on Wednesday, March 18 (10 pm, ET) on ABC. To celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the classic film "The Sound of Music," Diane Sawyer tours Salzburg, Austria, and the surrounding Alps, with its star Julie Andrews, revisiting many of the actual locations and reflecting on the most successful movie musical of all time. THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME, featuring a book by Peter Parnell, music by Alan Menken and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, began its spring run at Paper Mill Playhouse. Directed by Scott Schwartz and choreographed by Chase Brock, leading the company once again are Michael Arden (Big River) as Quasimodo, Patrick Page (Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark) as Dom Claude Frollo, Ciara Renée (Pippin) as Esmeralda, Andrew Samonsky (The Mystery of Edwin Drood) as Captain Phoebus de Martin and Erik Liberman (Lovemusik) as Clopin Trouillefou. Thursday, we met the cast of Broadway's newest comedy LIVING ON LOVE, written by two-time Tony Award winner Joe DiPietro, based on the play Peccadillo by Garson Kanin, and directed by three-time Tony Award winner Kathleen Marshall. The show begins previews April 1, and is set to open April 20 at the Longacre Theatre. Read more here!

Although Roundabout Theatre Company's Broadway production of ON THE TWENTIETH CENTURY now technically opens March 15, as a result of Peter Gallagher missing a week of performances due to a sinus infection, the company celebrated its opening on the originally planned March 12.
