Beck Center for the Arts presents SHE LOVES ME, with Book by Joe Masteroff, Music by Jerry Bock and Lyrics by Sheldon Harnick, based on a play by Miklos Laszlo. Directed by Scott Spence, with Musical Direction by Larry Goodpaster and Choreographed by Martín Céspedes, the show runs now through October 20, 2013 on the Mackey Main Stage. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast in action below!

With music by the Tony Award-winning team behind Fiddler on the Roof, Sheldon Harnick and Jerry Bock have composed unforgettable songs that manage to harken back to the golden age of musical theater. She Loves Me tells the touching story of Georg and Amalia, two feuding clerks in a 1930s European parfumerie who secretly find romance in their anonymous pen pals, unaware they are corresponding with each other. A warm romantic comedy with endearing innocence and a touch of old-world elegance, She Loves Me is as relevant as ever in this age of internet romances.

"If there is a musical that anyone should be in love with, this is the musical," commented Director Scott Spence, "I have had a long-time love affair with this show and am thrilled to finally have a chance to share it with Northeast Ohio audiences." With musical direction by Larry Goodpaster and choreography by Martín Céspedes, the talented cast includes Equity actors Rebecca Pitcher as Amalia, Jamie Koeth as Georg, and Matthew Wright asMaraczek. Beck Center is very pleased to have Ms. Pitcher star in this production after appearing on Broadway as Christine Daaé in The Phantom of the Opera.
