The popular pop-jazz duo Eric Comstock and Barbara Fasano return to the Metropolitan Room, 34 West 22nd Street, to premiere "The Night Has a Thousand Eyes" for a one-week major engagement running through Saturday October 20. The newly minted evening features a treasure chest of assorted jazz and pop gems that the husband and wife tandem pull out by the handful -- songs from the Duke Ellington, Jerome Kern, Cole Porter, Joni Mitchell, Stephen Sondheim and Tom Waits. The two are joined by Sean Smith on bass. Check out photos from the concert below!

"The Night Has a Thousand Eyes" continues Wednesday, October 17 at 7pm; Thursday, October 18 at 9:30pm; Friday, October 19 at 7pm, and Saturday, October 20 at 9:30pm.

This is their first major NY engagement since their 2011 show, "Helluva Town" at the Algonquin's Oak Room (which Stephen Holden called "Exhilarating" in The New York Times). Of their previous sold-out Metropolitan Room engagement, Frank Scheck raved in The Post, "Their joint venture is a capital idea. When they sing together the evening is transformed from collaboration to alchemy."

Winners of the NY Nightlife Award, Comstock and Fasano have been honored as vocalists, recording artists, and writers of their numerous shows, with an unprecedented three MAC Awards in one year including Best Vocal Duo and Outstanding Female Vocalist. Barbara's CDs, "The Girls of Summer," and "Written in the Stars," were also awarded Back Stage's Record of the Year. Eric, the co-creator and star of the hit Off-Broadway revue "Our Sinatra," just released his fourth CD, "Bitter/Sweet."
