Tony Award winner Linda Lavin makes nightclub appearances at 54 BELOW (254 W. 54 St. in Manhattan) yesterday, September 17 and September 23 at 3 p.m. with musical director Billy Stritch and a 5-piece combo. Check out photos from the concert below!

Entitled Linda Lavin…NOW, the 54 BELOW sets is comprised of what Ms. Lavin describes as "Brazilian songs and American standards that swing," including selections from her first-ever CD "Possibilities," released last year (Ghostlight Records).

Under the direction of the inimitable Billy Stritch, the jazz combo for Linda Lavin…NOW will feature Steve Doyle on bass, Steve Bakunas on drums, John Hart on guitar and violinist Aaron Weinstein. Among the musical selections on program will be "There's a Small Hotel, "You've Got Possibilities," "It Might as Well be Spring," "So Many Stars," "No More Blues," "My Foolish Heart" and others.

Linda Lavin won the Obie Award and was nominated for a Tony last season for her celebrated performance in the Broadway comedy THE LYONS, having previously earned raves as the alcoholic aunt in OTHER DESERT CITIES at Lincoln Center and at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC in FOLLIES, performing the show-stopping number "Broadway Baby." New York audiences have seen her in THE TALE OF THE ALLERGIST'S WIFE (Tony nomination), GYPSY, THE DIARY OF Anne Frank (Tony nomination), COLLECTED STORIES (Tony nomination), BROADWAY BOUND (Tony Award for Best Actress), LAST OF THE RED HOT LOVERS (Tony nomination), and IT'S A BIRD…IT'S A PLANE…IT'S SUPERMAN. Audiences worldwide know her from her starring role for nine seasons on the TV series "Alice." She began her career in NYC nightclubs such as The Showplace and Downstairs at the Upstairs, and has recently returned to performing in concert halls and cabarets around the country.
