This past Sunday, London bid farewell to the triumphant athletes who gave it their all during the London 2012 Paralympic Games. Peter Karrie, best known for his portrayal of the title role in the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical, The Phantom of the Opera, lead the nationwide Bandstand Marathon with the Abergavenny Borough Band performing the Brit award-winning band Coldplay hit "Viva La Vida".

A few photos from the event are below!

Karrie recently finished a sold out concert tour across British Columbia Canada and a sold out Youth Theatre Student Workshop in Park City, USA and "cannot wait" to be a part of the Closing Ceremonies! "These athletes are brilliant. They've put so much dedication into their pursuits. It's an honour and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to take part. It will be a memory I will cherish."

Karrie will fly to New York to continue his "Phantom Returns" concert tour. Performing at the Heuvelton Opera House on September 14th and Clayton Opera House on September 20. Limited tickets are still available. For details, visit his website at www.PeterKarrie.com.
