Friday night at the Waldorf-Astoria, Bette Midler hosted Hulaween 2011, her annual gala to benefit the New York Restoration Project. In addition to a lauded career as a singer and actress, Midler has made her first foray into Broadway producing with PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT, currently playing on Broadway at the Palace Theatre. In honor of its 8th Anniversary on Broadway, the blockbuster musical Wicked treated its fans to a special "Ultimate Encore" performance yesterday, October 30th. Over 10,000 Wicked fans cast their votes online for their favorite song from the musical to be performed by the current Broadway cast for this one-time-only performance following Sunday's matinee. Cast of War Horse

From 16 November 2011 a new cast of actors and puppeteers will join The National Theatre's internationally award-winning production of War Horse at the New London Theatre. Now in its fourth year, Michael Morpurgo's War Horse has been seen by over 1.5 million people world-wide. The London production of War Horse is currently taking bookings up to 16 February 2013. America Ferrera

Ugly Betty's America Ferrera is making her British stage debut as Roxie Hart in Chicago next week, and she's joined by Darius Campbell, returning to the role of Billy Flynn as Kander and Ebb's prohibition-era musical re-opens at the Garrick Theatre in London. Second Stage Theatre will present the new musical THE BLUE FLOWER written by Jim Bauer and Ruth Bauer, with choreography by Chase Brock and direction by Will Pomerantz, this fall. Previews began on Wednesday, October 12 and officially open on Wednesday, November 9 at Second Stage's Tony Kiser Theatre.The show fetues the talents of Marc Kudisch, Sebastian Arcelus, Meghan McGreary, and Teal Wicks. LAByrinth Theater Company (Co-Artistic Directors Stephen Adly Guirgis, Mimi O'Donnell, Yul Vázquez, and Managing Director Danny Feldman) just opened the World Premiere Production of The Atmosphere of Memory by David Bar Katz on October 30. The show will play an extra 7 performances at the Bank Street Theater (155 Bank Street). For full coverage from the big opening, click here.

In next wek's episode of FOX's GLEE, the kids prepare for opening night of the school musical, and several of them contemplate taking the next step with their significant other. Stephen Ashfield (Emmett) and Ben Freeman (Warner) join Carley Stenson (Elle Woods), Natalie Casey (Paulette) and Peter Davison (Professor Callahan) in the Olivier Award winning show Legally Blonde The Musical, which is currently booking until 27 October 2012 at the Savoy Theatre. Transport Group's Queen of the Mist is a world premiere musical with words and music by 5-time Tony nominee Michael John LaChiusa (The Wild Party, Marie Christine, Hello Again). Based on an astounding, outrageous, and haunting true story, two-time Tony nominee Mary Testa(Guys and Dolls, Xanadu, 42nd Street) stars as Anna Edson Taylor, who, in 1901, set out to be the first woman to shoot Niagara Falls, in a barrel of her own design. Performances began October 12 at 8 pm at the Booth Theatre for Jon Robin Baitz's critically acclaimed new play OTHER DESERT CITIES directed by Joe Mantello. This Lincoln Center Theater production features Stockard Channing, Rachel Griffiths, Stacy Keach, Judith Light and Thomas Sadoski. The production officially opened last night, November 3 and you can check out more photos from the opening here.

Noel Coward's PRIVATE LIVES starring Kim Cattrall and Paul Gross, directed by Richard Eyre, begins Broadway previews on Sunday November 6 and opening night is Thursday November 17. The 40th Anniversary production and first-ever Broadway revival of Stephen Schwartz's landmark rock musical GODSPELL is now in preview performances at Broadway's Circle in the Square Theatre (1633 Broadway at 50th Street). Directed by Daniel Goldstein and choreographed by Tony Award nominee Christopher Gattelli (South Pacific), Opening Night is Monday, November 7 (7 p.m.).
