Manila, Philippines, September 9, 2011 -- Resorts World Manila, a casino entertainment complex, held a press conference yesterday for its upcoming show titled Broadway Showstoppers, which will feature three of the country's finest International ArtistsLeo Valdez (Miss Saigon) with special guests, Joanna Ampil (Miss Saigon, Les Miserables) and Ima Castro (Miss Saigon, In the Heights).

For the three, performing together again in the country is something they all look forward to doing. It's like a reunion of sorts for them after their stints in Miss Saigon back then.

Leo, Joanna and Ima did three separate numbers at the press conference. Valdez did a medley of two songs titled "The Impossible Dream" and "This is the Moment" from two hit musicals -- Man of La Mancha and Jekyll and Hyde respectively. Ampil and Castro showcased their brilliant and unique powerful voices as Ampil performed "I Don't Know How to Love Him" from Jesus Christ Superstar and as Castro performed "And I am Telling You I'm not Going" from Dreamgirls.

A younger breed of male and female vocalists will be joining the three seasoned thespians -- they are the all-female trio of Opera Belles and all-male trio of Primo. Their repertoire will include show tunes from Miss Saigon, Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, West Side Story, The Sound of Music, Jesus Christ Superstar and Love Never Dies.

Broadway Showstoppers is part of Resorts World Manila's concert series and will be on Tuesday, September 27, 8 p.m., Newport Performing Arts Theater. Freddie Santos directs.

Tickets are available at the Resorts World Manila Box Office with telephone numbers (632) 836-6333, 908-8833 or at TicketWorld outlets with telephone number (632) 811-9999.
