Photo Flash: First Look at Iris Theatre's TREASURE ISLAND, Opening Tonight in Covent Garden

After receiving five Off West End Award nominations for their 2016 opening production of "Much Ado About Nothing", Iris Theatre's open air promenade version of "Treasure Island" opens tonight in the ground of St Paul's Church, Covent Garden in London. Harold Addo is making his professional debut as Jim Hawkins. Nick Howard Brown (Squire Trelawney, Ben Gunn & Jack Rackham) is currently playing Benedick in Much Ado About Nothing. He played Feste in Twelfth Night and the Green Cricket in Pinocchio for Iris last summer. Also for Iris Theatre: Cassius in Julius Caesar and Clarence/Buckingham in Richard III, as well as the Mad Hatter in both Alice in Wonderland and Alice Through the Looking Glass. Dominic Gar eld (Black Dog) is an actor, an award winning director and writer. His theatre credits include Come in Sit Down - MUJU/The Tricycle ('stand out performer' Evening Standard). Dafydd Gwyn Howells (Bob Tayler, Blind Pew & Long John Silver) was Henry Vl / Earl Rivers / Duchess of York, in Iris's Richard III and Humpty Dumpty/Tweedle Dee/ White King inAlice Through The Looking Glass. Anne- Marie Piaza (Mrs Hawkins & Isabella Hands) has been nominated for the Best Actress Of e Award as Benedict in Much Ado About Nothing. She plays series regular Annette Turner in Radio4's The Archers. For Iris she was in Twelfth Night, Richard III and Alice Through the Looking Glass. Adrian Quinton (Captain Smollett & Billy Bones) appeared in Half 'n' Half: The Curry Musical (Wales Millenium Centre); Othello Syndrome (Drayton Arms); Coming Home/Wanted (Bush Theatre). Re- becca Todd (Mrs Livesey & Mary Read) is a regular cast member of Shakespeare's Globe Read Not Dead project, appearing in over 20 of these plays, including The Knight of the Burning Pestle, Love's Sacri ce, Gorboduc, Gallathea and Timon of Athens.

On the creative team are: Director Daniel Winder; Set Designer Valentina Turtu; Composer Candida Caldicot; Costume Designer Maddy Ross-Masson; Fight Choreographer Roger Bartlett; Sound Designer Filipe Gomes; Lighting Designer Benjamin Ploya; and Producer Tanja Pagnuco.

Treasure Island, adapted from the book by Robert Louis Strevenson and directed by Daniel Winder, runs now through Sunday 28 August in the grounds of the world-famous St. Paul's Church in Covent Garden. Treasure Island is perfect for buccaneer boys and pirate lasses aged 6+.
