Music Theatre Wichita continues its 45th summer season with an innovative, large-scale production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Oklahoma! at Century II Concert Hall in downtown Wichita, KS.

The production stars a strong collection of Broadway veterans, including Claybourne Elder (Bonnie and Clyde) as Curly, Anne Horak (Chicago) as Laurey, and Nedra Dixon (Bubbling Brown Sugar) as Aunt Eller. Other leading actors include Jenni Barber (Wicked) as Ado Annie, Kevin Munhall (Allegiance) as Will Parker, Victor J. Wisehart (An American in Paris) as Jud Fry, and Nehal Joshi (LES MISERABLES) as Ali Hakim.

Music Theatre Wichita's new production will invite a fresh examination of the evergreen classic, through the direction of MTWichita veteran Mark Madama, enhanced with entirely new, completely original choreography by New York-based Al Blackstone (with assistance from associate choreographer Katie Drablos).

Other key members of the artistic team include musical director / conductor Thomas W.Douglas, hair and makeup designer Taylor Malott, lighting designer Don Fox, millinerydesigner Megan Reed, and Sound Designer Robert Hornbostel. Sets, props, and costumes were designed and created at Music Theatre Wichita, with set design by Bruce Brockman andcostume design by Debbie Roberts.

Music Theatre Wichita has earned a reputation as one of the foremost summer opportunities for young upcoming talents. This year's Tony Awards featured several former MTWichita alumni, including cast members of Hamilton, Waitress, The Color Purple, Spring Awakening, and many more. Founded in 1972, MTWichita has created the world premiere of the revised Good News!, the U.S. premiere of Betty Blue Eyes, and the regional premieres of such Disney titles as The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, and High School Musical. MTWichita has also created cast albums for Honk! and Good News!
