Two River Theater hosted two successful sold-out fundraisers this June raising more than $70,000 to help continue producing great American theater by developing and producing new works and world masterpieces for all ages. As a non-profit theater, Two River runs primarily on donations from individuals, corporations and businesses.

On Sunday, June 12, Two River hosted an Ice Cream Social event for children ages 3-7 and their parent's, the event was a fun afternoon of activities and treats following the performance of Where the Wild Things Are. Guests enjoyed crafts by #TableSettingIsMyLife, a photo booth, face painting, and a candy bar. A Monster Ice Cream Sundae Bar was donated by Crazees, an Edible Arrangement bouquet was donated by a local chain, and iced coffee and tea for adults were donated by the Danish Café. Tickets began at $50 and sponsorship opportunities ranged from $500-$5,000. For this event, close to $13,000 was raised to benefit Two River Theater's Education Programs. The theater's Development Director Jennifer Anderson exclaims her appreciation to those that attended. "Two River is very fortunate to have the support of this wonderful community and cannot do what it does without your help." The theater would also like thank the event steering committee: Heather Burke, Amanda Butterbaugh, Lauren Carton, Denise De Angelis, Carolyn Cushman DeSena, Anya Levine, Nyire Melconian, Ginny Moore and Susan Olson.

The week after, on June 20, Two River held their second fundraising event, "Alec Baldwin and Kevin Kline: LIVE from Two River." This sold-out, one night only event included a live conversation recorded for WNYC Studio's acclaimed podcast "Here's The Thing" hosted by Alec Baldwin, which will be released at a later date. Over 340 patrons supported the theater by purchasing tickets-ranging from $75 to $350-and sponsorships-ranging $1,000-$10,000--raising over $60,000 for the theater. Prior to the public event, over 90 sponsors and $350 ticket buyers attended a VIP Reception where guests had the opportunity to meet and take pictures with Mr. Baldwin and Mr. Klein. Anderson thanked the theater's special guests, "We sincerely thank the incredible Alec Baldwin and Kevin Kline for donating their time to benefit Two River with their live appearance on our stage. They were both extremely gracious and generous, and it was a very successful event to benefit the theater, a non-profit organization. "

Two Two River plans to hold more exciting fundraising events like these throughout their 2016-2017 season which starts in September.
