It's The Glass Menagerie meets Anna Nicole, in an episode of Hoarders! New American Folks Theatre opens its 2016 season with the Midwest premiere of the dark, twisted comedy TRASH by Johnny Drago, directed by Derek Van Barham, playing now through May 15, 2016 at The Den Theatre, 1333 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Chicago. The press opening is tonight, April 11, and BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast in action below!

TRASH features New American Folk Theatre Company Members Carrie Campana, Jamal Howard, Caitlin Jackson, Kirk Jackson and Anthony Whitaker.

TRASH is the story of faded B-movie star Jinx Malibu, who has spent the last decade or so popping pills and hiding out in her wheelchair bound mother's, secluded, garbage-filled double-wide with her two children, older son Loogie and younger daughter Smudge. When a handsome stranger arrives from Hollywood, could it be her big chance at a comeback?

The production team for TRASH includes: Clint Greene (scenic design), Kate Setzer Kamphausen (costume design), Cody Ryan (lighting design), Kallie Rolison (sound design), Eric Shoemaker (props design) and Julie Leghorn (stage manager).
