The hit show that is giving women of color the chance to be both their own author and their own voice is back this month. Art House Productions' hit show IN FULL COLOR, which celebrates Women's History Month, has 16 more women of color from across the nation sharing their stories through monologues, poetry and song. Get a sneak peek and scroll down for photos from last year's show!

Last year, the show sparked conversations about diversity, prejudice, cultural exchange, mixed race identity and other important and timely topics. This year features poignant and hilarious pieces about everything from the double-edged sword of Indian domesticity and the perseverance of Latina sexuality to exactly what matters about Black lives.

Badass women from around the nation will be featured in this year's show, including Alicia Rivas, Nina Ki, Chau Sa Hoang, Nidhi Thakur, Adelyne Dan Dan Liu, Dianne Diep, Courtney Wheeler, Liliane Wolf, Tuere T. S. Ganges, Samille Ganges, Grisel Acosta, Paola Soto, Taylor Yates, Nancy Mendez-Booth, Clinnesha D. Sibley and Judith Moss.

Summer Dawn Hortillosa, who created the concept for the show, returns as the show's director.

"Women of color have long been underrepresented in theater, the arts and the mainstream media. But now, we're taking ownership of our stories and finding ways to let our voices be heard," said Hortillosa, who is Asian and White Hispanic.

She says the country's political climate is also ripe for frank discussions about the many issues women of color face, from the mundane to the monstrous.

"We fight with our families, we fall in love, we are heroes, we are flawed -- we are being shot, deported, exiled, raped, mutilated -- but we are also fighting, and we are speaking. We are you. And we hope that in hearing our stories, you will see that too."

Audiences will soon be able to take home these stories in the first IN FULL COLOR anthology, which will benefit Thinking In Full Color, the educational outreach program it inspired. The anthology will feature pieces from 2015 and 2016's shows as well as runner-ups from this year's submission pool.

Women from outside the theater realm will also be showcased: this year's promotional art was created by local artist Tiffy "T-Cup" DiGiacomo and singer-songwriter Kasandra Black's original songs "Renegade" and "Be Strong" will be featured in the show.

A portion of the proceeds of this event will once again benefit WomenRising, a nonprofit that helps provide support services for survivors of domestic abuse.

IN FULL COLOR has three shows -- Thursday, March 17 and Saturday, March 19 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, March 20 at 3 p.m. at Jersey City Theater Center's Merseles Studios, 339 Newark Ave., Jersey City, on the second floor of the Monaco Lock building. Limited parking available. Tickets are $10 in advance, $15 at the door. For more information and tickets, visit infullcolor2.brownpapertickets.com.
