Roundabout Theatre Company, in association with Daryl Roth Productions, will soon present Steven Pasquale in the first-ever New York revival of Alfred Uhry and Robert Waldman's musical comedy THE ROBBER BRIDEGROOM. The show will be music directed by Justin Levine with choreography by Connor Gallagher and directed by Tony award nominee Alex Timbers (Peter and the Starcatcher) as part of Roundabout's 50th Anniversary season. Laura Benanti (Amalia), Zachary Levi (Georg), Gavin Creel (Kodaly), Michael McGrath (Sipos),Jane Krakowski (Ilona) and Byron Jennings (Maraczek) will star in Roundabout's new Broadway production of SHE LOVES ME, directed by Scott Ellis, choreographed by Warren Carlyle with musical direction by Paul Gemignani. This classic musical comedy features a book by Joe Masteroff, lyrics by Sheldon Harnick and music by Jerry Bock. The company met the press last week, and BroadwayWorld brings a look at performances from the big day here!

FINDING NEVERLAND has found its new leading man! Tony Award nominee Tony Yazbeck (On The Town) just took over the role of Peter Pan creator J.M. Barrie in the smash hit, record-breaking Broadway musical on January 26, 2016. The production plays at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre (205 West 46th Street, between Broadway and 8th Avenues). The Broadway at Birdland concert series presented singer/songwriter Brian Gallagher to the historic stage to celebrate his original material with an all-star concert on Monday, January 25. Among others, his musical guests included his wife Megan Hilty, as well as Eden Espinosa, Teal Wicks, and many more. Check out photos from the evening here!

The longest-running show in Broadway history, the Cameron Mackintosh/The Really Useful Group production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera, directed by Harold Prince, reached another unprecedented milestone when it celebrated its Twenty-Eighth Anniversary last night, Tuesday, January 26, 2016. This marked performance #11,649 at The Majestic Theatre (247 West 44th Street). BroadwayWorld was there for the special occasion and you can check out backstage photos here!

Prodigal Son, the new play written and directed by Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize winner John Patrick Shanley, is now in previews and will open on Tuesday, February 9 at MTC at New York City Center - Stage I (131 West 55th Street). Check out a first look here!

Performances for the Miami premiere of MOTOWN THE MUSICAL begin Tuesday, February 2 for a limited one-week run through Sunday, February 7, 2016 at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County. Currently celebrating its 10th Anniversary Season, the Arsht Center, along with Broadway Across America and presenting sponsor Bank of America, are proud to continue the 2015-2016 Broadway in Miami season with the hit musical that CBS Sunday Morning describes as, "More than a Broadway show, a celebration of music that transformed America!" Kitchen Theatre Company is celebrating its 25th season in 2015-2016, and the centerpiece is PETER AND THE STARCATCHER, a play that is a celebration of live theater and ensemble story telling: a great adventure with music told by a cast of twelve actors and a "let's put on a show" spirit. Lyric Opera of Chicago presents Nabucco, Giuseppe Verdi's twisted tale of politics, power, forbidden love, and religion, best known for its stirring chorus "Va, pensiero." Nabucco opens tomorrow night, Saturday, January 23 for seven performances through February 12. Check out a first look here!
