Photo Flash: BEAUTIFUL Cast Performs at The Actors Home with Sing For Your Seniors

On November 23, 2015, Sing For Your Seniors hosted the latest in its series of Broadway Sessions with cast members from Beautiful: The Carole King Musical for the residents of The Lillian Booth Actors Home of The Actors Fund. The musical performance included songs of the performers' choosing as well of songs from BEAUTIFUL. Residents and their family, nurses, and staff enjoyed two one-hour sessions on different floors, as well as a meet-and-greet visit with the cast following the performances. Executive Director Jackie Vanderbeck explains, "Sing For Your Seniors' Broadway Sessions bring the essence of a particular show to a community of people who would otherwise not get the opportunity to experience the wonder and thrill of Broadway because of their physical health or financial need."
Lucy Vance Seligson, Director of Social Services for The Lillian Booth Actors Home said, "Sing For Your Seniors has added so much to the Actors Fund community over the past year, their visits leave us invigorated and thrilled! The performers are always flawless, but more than that, their emphasis on really interacting with our residents, and bringing them into the music, makes their visits all the more special."
Performers from BEAUTIFUL included Daniel Torres (Beautiful, Evita, The Pirate Queen, The Woman in White), Caliaf St. Aubyn (Beautiful), Sara King (Beautiful, Hair), Kimber Sprawl (Beautiful), and Sidney DuPont (Beautiful, Memphis), with Joey Chancey (Beautiful, Annie, La Cage aux Folles, A Chorus Line, Gigi) on piano.
Sing For Your Seniors, Inc. is a non-profit organization that uses music to change lives. They provide senior citizens with immediate and long-term benefits through musical enrichment in adult day centers, in hospitals and in living centers. Seniors build ongoing relationships with talented young Broadway and Broadway-bound performers as they connect through music.
