The Timeline Projects is pleased to present a first look into Victor Lesniewski's (Khardal, Berkeley Rep; Cloven Tongues, The Wild Project) Civil War spy thriller, Couriers and Contrabands, developed with and directed by Kareem Fahmy (The In-Between, Noor Theatre; Asst. Director Once, New York Theatre Workshop).

Couriers and Contrabands is currently n previews at the TBG Theatre (312 W 36th Street, 3rd Floor, New York, NY 10018). Opening Night is Friday, September 11th at 8:00 pm. Tickets are $18.00 and available at www.SmartTix.com.

1864. Petersburg, Virginia. As the Civil War rages on, Confederate operatives in control of a courier line work to gather information on the Union's efforts. Little do they know that they themselves are being watched by a contraband masquerading as a slave who acts in the interest of the North.

Take a glimpse inside an unknown chapter of American history. As we commemorate the 150th anniversary of the end of the Civil War, let's re-examine the War from a whole new perspective. Couriers and Contrabands is an intriguing, sexy spy thriller about the unsung heroes behind the scenes.

The production stars Jeremy Beck* (Betrayed - The Culture Project; The Cocktail Party - TACT) as George, Helen Cespedes (Broadway's The Cripple of Inishmaan; Showtime's The Knick) as Mary, Luke Forbes* (Fox's Gotham, ABC's Forever) as Willie, Heather Hollingsworth (Playgrounds - The Claque) as Lottie, Krystel Lucas* (In the Next Room - Syracuse Stage; The Merchant of Venice - Old Globe) as Nancy, Eric T. Miller* (rogerandtom - HERE Arts Center; Awake and Sing! - Huntington Theater) as James, and Michael Schantz* (You Got Older -Page 73, 2015 Obie Winner) as Thomas.

Produced by Liz Olson. Featuring scenic design by David Elser, costume design by Sarafina Bush, lighting design by Nicholas Houfek, and sound design by Mark Van Hare. Conor McKeever is the production stage manager, Jason Hughes is the production coordinator. Graphic design by Kristen Craig.
