On Monday, September 7, the Broadway at Birdland concert series was proud to present singer Darius de Haas in "Something To Live For," a concert celebrating Billy Strayhorn. Scroll down for photos!

Darius de Haas celebrated the centennial and classic songbook of American jazz composer, pianist, lyricist and arranger Billy Strayhorn, who was best known for his successful collaboration with bandleader and composer Duke Ellington. His compositions include "Take the 'A' Train," "Chelsea Bridge," and "Lush Life." Darius was joined by pianist Tedd Firth, bassist George Farmer and very special guest Janis Siegel, from the Manhattan Transfer.

The award-winning Broadway at Birdland concert series takes place every Monday at Birdland, the historic music room located in the heart of Manhattan's theater district. Visit www.BirdlandJazz.com for more information.
