Fraser Entertainment Group's critically-acclaimed ongoing series AN EVENING OF CLASSIC BROADWAY returns to Rockwell Table & Stage in Los Feliz on Monday, August 10 at 8pm, the ninth installment of the successful concert series, produced by DiAnne Fraser.

If you love Broadway show tunes, you will relish AN EVENING OF CLASSIC BROADWAY's dazzling array of songs from landmark musicals. You'll get goose-bumped and teary-eyed hearing dynamic renditions of your favorite numbers from classic shows, as well as songs from smaller/lesser-known Broadway musicals - always peppered with fun and lots of laughs! Acclaimed musical director Brad Ellis (from the hit television series GLEE, Forbidden Broadway, etc.) leads a cast of superb singers from Broadway, television, and film.

Joining Brad Ellis and DiAnne Fraser on August 10th is an outrageously talented line-up including Jahmaul Bakare, Nicci Claspell, Elizabeth Hayden, Damon Kirsche, Barbara Minkus, Kevin Odekirk and Valerie Perri.

Rockwell Table & Stage is located at 1714 N. Vermont Ave. in Los Angeles 90027. Doors open at 6:30pm with the show beginning at 8pm. Tickets are $10, $15 or $20 plus a 2-item food minimum per person. The series Musical Director Brad Ellis is regarded as one of the most respected and sought after composers, arrangers, and musical directors in the musical theatre community. He has enjoyed a newfound fame as the on-camera pianist on the hit television series GLEE. Lately, he has been traveling the world as Musical Director for Matthew Morrison's solo show.

In addition to his role on GLEE, MR. Ellis can be seen coaching in the "Special Features" of the DVD Release of Disney's animated Beauty and the Beast. Long before GLEE, MR. Ellis was renowned for his clever and instantly recognizable arrangements for such shows as Forbidden Broadway, Forbidden Hollywood, Whoop-Dee-Doo, and the Christmas edition of Forever Plaid known as Plaid Tidings. He has arranged and orchestrated for the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, the Philadelphia Symphony and the CD "Unexpected Dreams - Songs from The Stars" featuring members of the LA Phil to benefit Music Cares which supports music programs in the LA schools. In concert, and on CD, MR. Ellis has worked with Billy Joel, Angela Lansbury, Kristin Chenoweth, Scarlett Johansson, Patti LuPone, Marissa Jaret Winokur, Ariana Grande, and Jeremy Irons to name a few.

Dianne Fraser of Fraser Entertainment Group produces AN EVENING OF CLASSIC BROADWAY. Joining Brad Ellis and DiAnne Fraser onstage on August 10th is an outrageously talented line-up including Jahmaul Bakare, Nicci Claspell, Elizabeth Hayden, Damon Kirsche, Barbara Minkus, Kevin Odekirk and Valerie Perri.

JAHMAUL BAKARE, an accomplished opera singer, is coming off roles in two successful local stage musicals. He starred as "Flick" in Kelrik's production of VIOLET, and "Enjolras" in the Encore Entertainers production of LES MIZ.

Nicci Claspell appeared in the First National Tour of Green Day's AMERICAN IDIOT. She's a Rockwell regular who, most recently, appeared as Juliet in their main stage production of ROMEO AND JULIET: LOVE IS A BATTLEFIELD.

Valerie Perri's professional stage debut was in the Broadway National Company of EVITA and she went on to play the title role in that show for 25 years. She appeared in the First National Tour of Jerome Robbins' BROADWAY. Local audiences saw her as "Norma Desmond" in SUNSET BLVD. (Musical Theatre West). She is also a recording artist and an accomplished film and television actress.

Kevin Odekirk played "Marius" in LES MIZ on Broadway and sang in the recent S.T.A.G.E. Benefit. He's been performing the lead role of "Robert" in the musical KRISTINA, at The Royal Albert Hall and Carnegie Hall. The show was written by Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson of Abba fame. He is one of five soloists to tour with Julie Andrews in her concert THE GIFT OF MUSIC.


ELIZABETH HAYDEN performed her cabaret show "Swingin' the Blues Away" at NYC's Metropolitan Room last year. She ran the Music Room Cabaret at the Horn of Plenty Restaurant in Greenwich Village, while also working as a vocalist for Stephen Scott Orchestras and the Larry King Orchestra. She was the New Year's Eve headliner at the Regency and Drake Hotels.ELIZABETH HAYDEN performed her cabaret show "Swingin' the Blues Away" at NYC's Metropolitan Room last year. Damon Kirsche, one of LA musical theatre's most in-demand actors, is currently playing "Ali Hakim" in Cabrillo Music Theatre's production of OKLAHOMA! He has appeared in PARADISE LOST: SHADOWS AND WINGS at Carnegie Hall and The Walt Disney Concert Hall and Regional Theatre productions of MARY POPPINS, SPAMALOT, 42ND STREET and ONE FOR MY BABY. He sings regularly with the Dean Mora and Fred Barton Orchestras.

Barbara Minkus toured the U.S. starring as "Fanny Brice" in FUNNY GIRL. She originated the role of "Lucy" in the Off Broadway production of YOU'RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN, among other stage credits. Local audiences have seen her in such roles as "Molly Picon" in PICON PIE at the Santa Monica Playhouse. On television, she was a series regular for six seasons on LOVE, AMERICAN STYLE.
