If/Then star Jenn Colella is flying high as Peter Pan in PETER PAN as part of the 65th Music Circus season. Alongside Colella, Jennifer Hope Wills, who earned critical acclaim for her portrayal of Eileen in the revival of Wonderful Town and also performed on Broadway as Christine in The Phantom of the Opera, is returning to Music Circus for her fourth season to play Mrs. Darling. Reprising his role as Mr. Darling/Captain Hook from the 1998 Broadway production is Paul Schoeffler, who marks his eighth season at Music Circus. Mary Bridget Davies is taking on her Tony nominated role as Janis Joplin once again at the Pasadena Playhouse for A NIGHT WITH JANIS JOPLIN. Pasadena native Kacee Clanton, also from the Broadway production of A Night With Janis Joplin, will alternate the role of Janis Joplin with Davies. Glee star Darren Criss ended his epic, magical run as internationally ignored song-stylist Hedwig in HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH on July 19th. Alan Cumming came to see Darren Criss take his final bow in Hedwig and the Angry Inch on Broadway. Following the show, Cumming took a selfie with Criss in his dressing room. Cumming tweeted, (@Alancumming) "Just saw @DarrenCriss rock it again in@HedwigOnBway. Bravo wee D, bravo!!" For more info on Darren's last show and Cumming's wonderful visit click here.

The Broadway community was a-buzz with chatter about President Obama attending last Saturday's matinee of HAMILTON on Broadway. President Obama and his daughters, Sasha and Malia, attended the matinee and took a photos with the full company. Click here to see his post-show tweets from the matinee. A new Hedwig has come to the Belasco Theatre and the BroadwayWorld is going crazy. This past week, Broadway veteran Taye Diggs took the stage as internationally ignored song-stylist as Hedwig in HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH after a decade-long hiatus from Broadway. Diggs stepped into the role of Hedwig following Glee alum Darren Criss. He will play the role until October 11th. For more photos of Diggs in his new role visit here.

Stephen Sondheim (music and lyrics) and James Lapine's (book) INTO THE WOODS opened July 21, at the Muny, and is playing through July 27 in Forest Park. The cast includes Heather Headley (Witch), Erin Dilly (Baker's Wife), Rob McClure (Baker), Ken Page (Narrator), Andrew Samonsky (Cinderella's Prince/Wolf), Elena Shaddow (Cinderella) and Ryan Silverman (Rapunzel's Prince). Broadway in Bryan Park continued its 2015 program on this past Thursday. This week's line-up included performances from the casts of THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, BEAUTIFUL, KINKY BOOTS, and SAYONARA. The cast of Beautiful celebrated Broadway in Bryant park with some amazing Carole King music. Celebrating 15 years of providing free theatre entertainment, '106.7 LITE FM's Broadway in Bryant Park' will run from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. ET on the following Thursdays: July 30; August 6; and August 13. Full casting is announced for Green Day's explosive award-winning Broadway musical AMERICAN IDIOT as it blasts into the UK from 17 July, at The Arts Theatre, Leicester Square. The full cast includes Luke Baker (Theo), Natasha Barnes (Heather), Alexis Gerred (Tunny), Llandyll Gove (Gerard), Raquel Jones (Extraordinary girl), Natasha Karp (Alysha) Robyn Mellor (Libby), Lucas Rush (St. Jimmy), Steve Rushton (Will), Aaron Sidwell (Johnny) and Ross William Wild (Favorite Boy). The Weston Playhouse Theatre Company has done it again -- landing one of Broadway's hottest new plays for its Vermont premiere. PETER AND THE STARCATCHER opens on JULY 16, bringing a new take on a classic story to area audiences. Broadway veterans Rose Hemingway and Matthew Wilkas join Adam Shonwiler as they bring this amazing production to the Weston Playhouse. For more production photos click here.
