The Broadway at Birdland concert series was proud to present members from the Broadway cast of The Phantom of the Opera, who celebrated the songs written by their composer, Andrew Lloyd Webber, in concert on Sunday, July 12 at 6pm. This sold-out smash hit was the first in a series of many tribute concerts by the cast of the record-breaking musical, and will benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

The show was hosted by the current Phantom himself, James Barbour, who was joined by his co-stars Kaley Ann Voorhees, Laird Mackinosh, Katharine Heaton, Bronson Norris Murphy, Patricia Phillips, Elizabeth Welch and her daughter Vivian Welch. Musical director for the event was David Lai.

The Cameron Mackintosh and The Really Useful Group production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera, directed by theater legend Harold Prince, is the longest-running show in Broadway history. Having played to more than 140 million people in 31 countries around the world, Phantom is arguably the most popular musical of all time.

The award-winning Broadway at Birdland concert series has been celebrating the performers and creators from the Great White Way at the historic music room for the past twelve years.
