The Off-Broadway production of Romeo & Bernadette: A Musical Tale of Verona and Brooklyn, with book and lyrics by Mark Saltzman, music adapted from classic Italian melodies, directed and choreographed by Justin Ross Cohen, and starring the original cast,  officially opened on Monday, May 16 at Theater 555 (555 West 42nd Street - between 10th and 11th Avenues).

The Off-Broadway production of Romeo & Bernadette: A Musical Tale of Verona and Brooklyn, with book and lyrics by Mark Saltzman, music adapted from classic Italian melodies, directed and choreographed by Justin Ross Cohen, and starring the original cast, will open at Theater 555 for a limited engagement.

Rehearsals began yesterday for the remounting of Amas Musical Theatre's production of 'Romeo & Bernadette: A Musical Tale of Verona and Brooklyn.' Produced by Eric Krebs, performances are set to begin at Theatre Row on March 17 with an official re-opening on Thursday, March 26 at 7pm.

Amas Musical Theatre presents the Off-Broadway premiere of Romeo & Bernadette: A Musical Tale of Verona and Brooklyn, with book and lyrics by Mark Saltzman, music adapted from classic Italian melodies, and directed and choreographed by Justin Ross Cohen. 

The musical adaptation of Steven Steven Spielberg's screenplay(2002) of Frank William Abagnale Jr's autobiography (1980, written by Abagnale and Stan Redding) is given the intimate Hayes Theatre treatment for an evening of high energy song and dance as one of the America's most famous fraudsters is bought to life in CATCH ME IF YOU CAN. 

First published in the UK 75 years ago, Four Quartets is considered the crowning achievement of TS Eliot's career as a poet. Now three visionaries, Pam Tanowitz, Kaija Saariaho and Brice Marden respond to the four-part poem in a ravishing union of dance, music and visual art, as the entire work is narrated by American actor Kathleen Chalfant. A Barbican co-commission and European premiere, this collaborative performance of the work is the first to be authorised by the TS Eliot Estate. A production of Bard Fisher Center, Four Quartets premiered at Bard SummerScape in July 2018 to critical acclaim, The New York Times calling it 'the greatest creation of dance theater so far this century".

Magic Window Productions will present the Off-Broadway Premiere of RANDOM ACTS, a drama written and performed by Obie Award winner Renata Hinrichs (A Simple Heart, Debbie Does Dallas, Einstein's Dreams). Directed by Jessi D. Hill, previews began February 14 at TBG Mainstage Theatre. Opening is set for Wednesday, February 20.

Composer Thea Musgrave is celebrating these days. Gordon Cantiello along with Rick Brayshaw has brought another fine evening of entertainment to Omaha with I LEFT MY HEART: A SALUTE TO THE MUSIC OF TONY BENNETT at the Performing Artists Repertory Theatre in Crossroads. This delightful two act tribute showcases 34 songs made popular by Tony Bennett.

FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presented the Original Broadway cast in Legs Diamond 30th Anniversary Reunion Concert on Sunday, December 3 at 7:00 pm and 9:30 pm. The concert is being produced and directed by original cast member Jonathan Cerullo and associate producer Carol Baxter. Ovation Award-winners and Troubadour Theater Company favorites Rick Batalla, Lisa Valenzuela and Beth Kennedy reunite with long-time 'Troubie' Joseph Leo Bwarie in Little Drummer Bowie after his Broadway run as Frankie Valli in the Tony Award-winning musical Jersey Boys. I know everyone will expect this review to begin with, "I've Had the Time of My Life," but I will skip that well-known song that serves as the finale to DIRTY DANCING and go back to the opening number which defines it so well as "This Magic Moment."

As BroadwayWorld reported over the weekend, Maureen O'Hara, known for her roles in golden age Hollywood films such as MIRACLE ON 34TH STREET and THE PARENT TRAP and star of Broadway's CHRISTINE, died on October 24. She was 95.
