PITCHBLACK Immersive Experiences released today new production photos of the return of Odd Man Out. Odd Man Out begins performance tonight, Tuesday, January 18, at The Flea Theater’s The Pete Theater (20 Thomas Street).

COME FROM AWAY, the warm welcoming hug of hope and the best of humanity has finally arrived in Sydney to the delight of audiences that have been waiting for this incredible piece of theatre based in truth to arrive after a pandemic induced delay. 

Come From Away officially returned to performances at the Comedy Theatre from Tuesday 19 January. This marks the first of the global companies of Come From Away to return to the stage, for a strictly limited season that must close on Sunday 21 March, prior to a national tour.

Following the critically acclaimed success of HOTTER, Hotter Project and Ellie Keel Productions announce the world première of FITTER opening at Soho Theatre on 9 December, with previews from 3 December, running until 4 January 2020.

COME FROM AWAY, Irene Sankoff and David Hein's (Book, Music and Lyrics) multi award winning musical about the other side of the 9/11 story, has captivated Melbourne hearts in its beautiful heartwarming celebration of the best of the human spirit. 

'Come From Away' is a special musical that creatively tells a heart-wrenching story of compassion, caring and a display of the best of humanity with humor and pathos. It makes for one of those special moments in the theater. The touring production is beyond excellent and is an absolutely must see!!

Hell in a Handbag Productions is pleased to launch its 2019 season with a revival of the musical that started it all: POSEIDON! An Upside Down Musical, a musical parody and a loving homage to the classic 1972 film, The Poseidon Adventure, the grandmother of all disaster films. Handbag's very first show will return March 15 - April 28, 2019 at a venue befitting of an ocean liner: The Edge Theater, 5451 N. Broadway in Chicago.

Come From Away is gearing up for its official London opening next week, and to join in celebrations, the real-life Islanders and From Aways have descended on London!

New Adventure's Production of the tale of Cinderella has never been more salacious or delicious. The dancing is superb, as well as the artistry involved in every facet of the production. With the updated scenario created, Cindy's world is smack dab in the middle of World War II. Directed and Choreographed by the incredible Sir Matthew Bourne, and loosely based on his parent's war stories, we are taken to London in the '40s, during the middle of air raids, bombings and destruction. The set design and wardrobe is all very drab in muted black and grey reflecting the tone of the environment. Wickedly creative is the choreography, the sets, the costumes, lighting and sound, not to mention the score by Prokofiev. Cinderella Opus 87 is such a melodious wonderland for a choreographer and his artistic team to work with. There is such power, intensity and magic in this lively piece. In Sir Matthew Bourne's hands, and feet, it is a fabulous, imaginative display of artistry and brilliance.

Telling the remarkable true story of 7,000 stranded air passengers during the wake of 9/11, and the small town in Newfoundland that welcomed them, Come From Away features a book, music and lyrics by Irene Sankoff and David Hein and is directed by Christopher Ashley, with musical staging by Kelly Devine, music supervision and arrangements by Ian Eisendrath, scenic design by Beowulf Boritt, costume design by Toni-Leslie James, lighting design by Howell Binkley, sound design by Gareth Owen, orchestrations by August Eriksmoen, and casting by Pippa Ailion CDG and Natalie Gallacher CDG.

Rod Serling's television anthology series The Twilight Zone was a popular and critical success when it ran on CBS for five seasons from 1959 to 1964, shot entirely in black and white. The series introduced many Americans to appreciate stories in various genres including fantasy, science fiction, suspense, horror and psychological thrillers, often concluding with a macabre or unexpected twist, usually ending with a moral explained by the writer himself. It has remained so popular that you can often find The Twilight Zone marathons running on various television stations, especially on holidays. As a fan of the show, I often watch episodes when they are shown, keeping my The Twilight Zone Companion handbook close by to check on facts and cast information from each episode. So I made plans to attend when I heard Theatre 40 was going to be presenting ROD SERLING'S STORIES FROM THE ZONE adapted and co-directed by multiple Ovation Award winning set designer Jeff G. Rack and Charlie Mount.

The First National Tour of "Come From Away" opened its Los Angeles engagement on Wednesday, November 28. The Tony Award-winning musical continues through January 6, 2019, at Center Theatre Group/Ahmanson Theatre.
