Today, July 3, the New York Musical Theatre Festival hosted a press preview day in which several shows treated the audience to special performances. On hand to represent 'Stealing Time' was Jesus Christ Superstar alum Jeremy Kushnier, who performed the show's title number. Click below to see him in action!

As previously announced, Jeremy Kushnier (Jesus Christ Superstar, Footloose), Eden Espinosa (Wicked, Brooklyn), Rachel York (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Victor/Victoria) and Jack Noseworthy (A Chorus Line, Sweet Smell of Success) lead the cast of New York Musical Theater Festival's 'Stealing Time,' the latest work of writers/composers Tor Hyams and Lisa Neubauer. 'Stealing Time' will play as a special event in the 2012 New York Musical Theater Festival at the PTC Performance Space. 'Stealing Time' is the second NYMF project for Hyams coming off the success of 'Greenwood' starring Andrea McArdle in the 2011 New York Musical Theater Festival. Last week, the 68th annual Theatre World Awards were held on Tuesday, June 5th, 2012 at an invitation-only ceremony celebrating the 2012 Theatre World Award winners for Outstanding Broadway or Off-Broadway Debut Performances during the 2011-2012 theatrical season. Tonight, Monday, June 4 at 7:30 PM in front of Buckingham Palace, Andrew Lloyd Webber (currently represented on Broadway with THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA and the Tony Award-nominated productions of EVITA and JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR) and Gary Barlow will celebrate Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee (the 60th Anniversary of her ascension to the throne) with a live performance of "Sing" - the official Diamond Jubilee song, which they co-wrote for the special occasion. "Sing", which was released on Universal/Decca on May 28, unites some of the Commonwealth's most talented and diverse musicians, led by Gareth Malone and his Military Wives Choir, and the Commonwealth Band. The Official Charts Company has confirmed that "Sing", has made it straight to the top of the Official Albums Chart this Diamond Jubilee weekend and it has reached No.11 in the Official Singles Chart.

More than 20 years after its premiere, Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens are re-inventing their first musical with Tony-nominated director Thomas Kail (In the Heights, Lombardi, Magic/Bird), choreographer Bradley Rapier (So You Think You Can Dance, Jesus Christ Superstar) and new orchestrations by music director Lynne Shankel (Disney's Beauty and the Beast, Altar Boyz). On Friday night, February 17th, cast members from JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR performed a special secret fan preview concert for a few very lucky fans of the show. The concert featured some of the show's most notable hit songs, performed at the very appropriate venue of 'The Crypt' at The Church of the Intercession on 155th Street and Broadway in New York City. Today in 1970, JESUS CHRIST SUERSTAR creators Andrew Lloyd Webber and Time Rice received gold records for the original cast album of the show. The musical started off as a rock opera concept recording before its first staging on Broadway in 1971. The musical is based very loosely on the Gospels' account of the last week of Jesus' life, beginning with the preparation for the arrival of Jesus and his disciples in Jerusalem, and ending with the crucifixion. It highlights political and interpersonal struggles between Judas Iscariot and Jesus, struggles that are not in the Bible. The resurrection is not included. It therefore largely follows the form of a traditional passion play.

Harris, Producers) features direction by Philip William McKinley (The Boy From Oz), original direction by Tony Award-winner Julie Taymor (The Lion King, Across The Universe, Frida), music and lyrics by 22-time Grammy Award-winners Bono and The Edge, and book co-written by Taymor, Glen Berger (Underneath The Lintel) and Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (Fantastic Four and Spider-Man comics, 'Big Love'). The cast is led by Reeve Carney as ‘Peter Parker/Spider-Man,' Tony Award nominee Jennifer Damiano as ‘Mary Jane Watson,' T.V. Carpio as ‘Arachne,' Patrick Page as ‘Norman Osborn/Green Goblin.'
