Today’s spotlight is focused on Alyssa Freeze, a senior at Coffee County High School, who garnered Spotlight Award attention for her performance as Janet Van De Graff in The Drowsy Chaperone. This fall, Alyssa begins her college career at Nashville’s Lipscomb University. 

With his sophomore album Radiosoul dawning on the horizon, 21-year-old UK artist Alfie Templeman has released his new single “Beckham”. The song is a collaboration with sought-after producer Dan Carey (Wet Leg, Fontaines D.C.). An acid-dipped indie-pop cut, the track centers around a formative moment in adolescence: taking the leap of faith and relocating to a big city. Listen to the song now!

Theatre By The Sea will open its 2024 Summer Season with the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning musical A Chorus Line, which will be presented from May 29 - June 22, 2024.

Earlier this year, Seattle, WA-based Painted Shield announced details of their forthcoming LP, Painted Shield 3, due for release July 26, 2024 via Loosegroove Records. Last week, the band shared “Lover Divine,” following on the heels of the album’s lead single, “Transector.” The band recently headlined their first show at the iconic Paramount Theatre and curated the first House of LSGRV compilation which came out for 2024 Record Store Day. Theatre Aspen has announced the complete casts for Theatre Aspen's 41st summer season, including Steel Magnolias, Legally Blonde The Musical, and Come From Away.

Cape Town Opera, celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, will present Gaetano Donizetti's Lucia di Lammermoor at Artscape from 14 to 23 June 2024. The  opera transfers to the Joburg Theatre on 25 July 2024 for a limited season.
