__*How Sweet the Sound*__ will showcase a host of top choirs, soloists, praise teams and spoken word artists, competing across four prize categories. Grammy Award-winning composer and vocalist Donald Lawrence will host the event, with judges from the world of gospel: Kingdom Choir founder Karen Gibson MBE, the London Community Gospel Choir’s Bazil Meade MBR, and singer, songwriter and Premier Gospel radio presenter, Muyiwa Olarewaju OBE. There will also be performances from very special guests.

Seattle Women's Chorus (SWC) kicks off its 2012-2013 Season with their Fall concert, How Sweet the Sound (October 12-20, 2012) in a spectacular new venue, Saint Mark's Cathedral on Capitol Hill. SWC celebrates 10 years of big, bold, beautiful music and their 200+ voices will fill the Cathedral as they pay tribute to the choral tradition and create new rhythms and sounds.

Award-winning chef and author Marcus Samuelsson will present Vy Higginsen's Gospel for Teens Choir, who will provide the musical entertainment for "A Gospel Gathering at Ginny's" beginning Sunday, July 15th, 2012 at Ginny's Supper Club, the sister venue to Samuelsson's Red Rooster Harlem, located at 310 Lenox Avenue (between 125th and 126th Streets). The Gospel for Teens Choir will perform three sets of rousing gospel tunes during the venue's new Sunday buffet brunch served between 11 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Seats are $35 per person (half off for children under 12). Reservations and walk-ins are accepted by calling 212.421.3821.
