The Joyce Theater Foundation will honor the conclusion of Pride 2022 with the Joyce debut of boundary-shattering movement artist Christopher Williams. The New York premiere of selections from his series of queer interpretations of renowned classical ballets will play The Joyce Theater from June 28-July 3.

The survivor of a tumultuous upbringing and various stints in jail, ELCamino creates art that is adjacent to the life he has led, survived and as he evolves—strives to leave behind. ELCamino’s versatility sets him apart from his peers. Lyrically, he is capable of painting bleak tales and violent escapades, but also deft at seamlessly shifting styles mid-verse to highlight his soulful and moody singing voice.  Both of these attributes create exhilarating musical highs. 

Skylight Music Theatre announced the full cast for the Wisconsin premiere of Dennis DeYoung’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame, running May 20 through June 12, 2022. Performances take place in the beautiful Cabot Theatre at the Broadway Theatre Center, 158 N. Broadway, in Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward.

The Washington Stage Guild will conclude its 2021-2022 season with Memoirs of a Forgotten Man by D.W. Gregory. The play, which had its world premiere at The Contemporary American Theatre Festival in 2018, takes place in the Stalinist Soviet Union, where a man’s inability to forget those whom the government has “erased” becomes increasingly problematic for him and his family.

Today, Indiana’s first Grammy®-nominated rapper and budding actor Freddie Gibbs releases  “Ice Cream.” Arriving ahead of his Coachella performance with Madlib, Gibbs  teams up with Rick Ross for a fiery rap anthem that finds the collaborators flexing their financial success and flipping birds over a thunderous track from Kenny Beats. Shakespeare’s Globe has announced the cast and company for Much Ado About Nothing, directed by Lucy Bailey. This will be performed by the Globe Ensemble who will be returning for The Tempest on 22 July.

A Tempest (Une Tempête) will take place LIVE in person on Monday February 28th at 7:30pm at FIAF Florence Gould Hall (55 East 59th Street) with simultaneous Livestream broadcast. Video-on-Demand will be available through Sunday March 6th until 11:59 PM EST.

Red Bull Theater today announced a special event staged reading of celebrated poet and activist Aimé Césaire’s A Tempest (Une Tempête), a striking adaptation of Shakespeare's celebrated Jacobean play through a post-colonial lens, translated from the French by Philip Crispin.

Following the announcement of his new project SICK!, Los Angeles rapper Earl Sweatshirt shares the 10-song tracklist including a brand new single and visualizer 'Titanic.' The Black Noi$e-produced track marks the third single arriving after '2010' and 'Tabula Rasa (feat. Armand Hammer)' and their respective visuals.

Three-time Olivier award-winning Alex Jennings will lead the cast in the world premiere of The Southbury Child, the new play by BAFTA winner Stephen Beresford.  Directed by Nicholas Hytner, the production will play at the Bridge Theatre next summer following an opening run at Chichester Festival Theatre.

In order to successfully complete the film, Mr. Realbuto had to lose over 100 pounds while filming as stated in his contract. After losing 154 pounds, he broke the world record for most weight lost for a movie role in cinema history. The record was most recently held by Christian Bale, who reportedly lost 63 pounds for 2004’s ‘The Machinist.’

The Blue Hill Troupe, New York City's only philanthropic musical theater group, will kick off its 98th season with Urinetown: The Musical, a sidesplitting sendup of greed, love, revolution, and musicals-set in a time when water is worth its weight in gold. Tony Award winners Mark Hollmann (music and lyrics) and Greg Kotis (book and lyrics) will attend the show at 2pm on Saturday, November 13, and give a talk-back following the performance.

Welcome to Rhyme and Unreason! Rhyme and Unreason is a beautiful mix of comedy and hip hop presented by Burlington, VT based comedian and musician Omega Jade. The show will be a mix of comedy sets and freestyle cyphers from a variety of MC's.

Sharpen those skates! Ice Dance International returns to the Green Mountain state for a week-long residency in Stowe, Vermont presented by the Spruce Peak Performing Arts Center.  During the residency, IDI will perform an evening of New Works, Friday, September 17th at 7pm followed by an audience free-skate where all attendees are encouraged to strap on their skates and join the dancers on the ice!

The class of 2021 has arrived: Sundance Institute and Adobe announced this year's Sundance Ignite x Adobe Fellows today, chosen from a global pool of more than 1650 applicants from ages 18-25. Hailing from a broad geography, and rooted in a diverse array of creative disciplines from documentary to fiction, these 10 emerging artists selected will engage with a year of mentorship and support from Sundance Institute and Sundance Ignite founding partner Adobe.

The Fellowship centers artists in its curriculum, with a goal of supporting each fellow as they continue their respective artistic and professional development as filmmakers and storytellers.
