Hampstead Theatre Club
Eton Avenue, Swiss Cottage London

New York City - open for business 24/7.

In the same week his private equity firm forced massive layoffs at a supermarket chain, Rick threw himself a lavish engagement party - which even featured an elephant - setting off a publicity nightmare. However all’s not lost when you’re the titan of high finance - there’s still an abundance of cash in reserve and Seth, one of Rick’s partners, spots an opportunity to salvage the company’s reputation with an investment that’s both sound and PR-friendly. But Jenny, the third partner, and Seth’s nemesis, has other ideas: she’s not in business to make friends. If there’s money to be made, she’ll do whatever it takes to generate the maximum return, irrespective of what the critics might say...

The game is on in Sarah Burgess’ breathtakingly witty and virtuosic comedy exploring the vision, the vulnerability, and the vilification of those shaping - and skewing - the economy.

Discovery Shines a Light on Three Deadly Viruses and Their Potential for Catastrophic Outbreaks in INVISIBLE KILLERS

Discovery's INVISIBLE KILLERS Premieres March 29 on Discovery and Science Channel
by Macon Prickett - Feb 21, 2018

Viruses have shaped our health and our history, and, despite all the tools of modern medicine, they continue to kill millions of people every year. Influenza, smallpox, and Ebola are among the three most lethal viruses ever to have plagued mankind. Each has taken a devastatingly large toll on the human population. Smallpox killed more people than all the wars in human history, and we are just one test tube away from biomedical warfare. The flu spreads like wildfire across the globe every year, killing the young and the old alike, and Ebola shocks and terrifies the world each time it emerges.

Soho Rep. Extends Aleshea Harris's IS GOD IS Through March 25
by Julie Musbach - Feb 5, 2018

In response to popular demand, Soho Rep. (Sarah Benson, Artistic Director; Cynthia Flowers, Executive Director) extends the world premiere of Aleshea Harris's Relentless Award-winning Is God Is, directed by Taibi Magar by two weeks, through March 25. In this play, which dauntlessly cracks jokes as it eviscerates, twin sisters Anaia (Alfie Fuller) and Racine (Dame-Jasmine Hughes) undertake a murderous journey from the Dirty South to the California desert, seeking payback for a horrendous act. Is God Is treats both morality and genre as notions to be exploded, drawing on the ancient, the modern, the tragic, the Spaghetti Western, hip-hop and Afropunk in its subversion of theatrical constructs.

BWW Review: DRY POWDER, Hampstead Theatre
by Marianka Swain - Feb 2, 2018

Inequality is a hot topic for dramatists, but Sarah Burgess's deliciously dark comedy comes at it from a surprising perspective: allowing those high-finance gorgons to have their say. Of course, part of the strategy is giving them enough rope to hang themselves with, but this cynical satire argues that no one is clean here; we all have our price.
