This just in! Leslie Odom Jr. ("Smash") will join Lin-Manuel Miranda and Karen Olivo in the New York City Center Encores! Off-Center production of Jonathan Larson¹stick, tick… BOOM!, running for five performances, June 25 ­ 28. The opening show of City Center's acclaimed Encores! Off-Center series of landmark Off-Broadway musicals will be directed byOliver Butler with choreography by Camille A. Brown and music direction by Chris Fenwick. Jeanine Tesori is Encores! Off-Center Artistic Director.

This just in! New York City Center's acclaimed Encores! Off-Center series, under the artistic direction of Jeanine Tesori, will return this summer for a second season of landmark Off-Broadway musicals. The season opens with Jonathan Larson's tick, tick… BOOM!, June 25 - 28, starring Lin-Manuel Miranda and Karen Olivo, directed by Oliver Butler, and continues with a one-night only performance of Randy Newman'sFaust: The Concert, with Randy Newman as the Devil, directed by Thomas Kail, on July 1. Pump Boys and Dinettes, withbook, music and lyrics by John Foley, Mark Hardwick, Debra Monk, Cass Morgan, John Schimmel and Jim Wann , directed by Lear deBessonet and choreographed by Danny Mefford, wraps up the season, running July 16 - 19. Chris Fenwick is the Encores! Off-Center music director.

TICK, TICK...BOOM is Jonathan Larson's story before he wrote Rent. Social issues, plotlines and melodic phrasing made famous in that rock opera are in formation here. It's simpler than Rent with its own quirky charm. The story is not new, but the performers are refreshing, and the real-life tragedy adds new meaning to the main character's obsession with his looming milestone birthday.

Three actors portray ten characters through fourteen songs to take the audience on the playwright/composer's journey that ignited an interest in Jonathan Larson's work and ultimately led to Broadway sensation, RENT. Larson originally began performing the piece as a solo work in 1990. Following his death in 1996, playwright David Auburn revised the work and adapted it for three actors. Tickets have now been released for individual sale for Tick, tick... BOOM! The rock musical is an autobiographical tale of a young composer on the brink of turning 30 and falling into oblivion. Outre Theatre Company has announced its third and final production of its inaugural season, Jonathan Larson's tick, tick...Boom! Directed by Whitcomb, the musical opens on Friday, May 23, 2013 at the Mizner Park Cultural Arts Center. tick, tick… Boom! runs through June 9th.

Tick, Tick...Boom! by Pulitzer ,and Tony Award Winner Jonathan Larson directed by Scott Schuster is an autobiographical musical set in New York's SOHO during the year 1990. The show won the Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Off-Broadway Musical and received 7 Drama Desk Award nominations, including Outstanding Musical.

Following successful screenings in Beverly Hills, Northern California, and New York City, a Kickstarter campaign has been launched for DVD distribution of the independent romantic dramedy "Tick Tock Boom Clap".
