Signature Theatre presents The Wayside Motor Inn by A.R. Gurney, directed by Lila Neugebauer. The production will now play through Sunday, September 28, 2014. The Wayside Motor Inn began performances on August 12 and opens this Thursday, September 4 in The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues). MCC Theater (Robert LuPone, Bernard Telsey,William Cantler, Artistic Directors; Blake West, Executive Director) presents the New York Premiere of John Pollono's celebrated Small Engine Repair, the comic thriller that premiered to rave reviews and sold-out audiences at L.A.'s Rogue Machine Theatre, where it won the Los Angeles Drama Critics Award for Playwriting, among many other honors. Keegan Allen, James Badge Dale, playwright/actor John Pollono, and James Ransonestar in the production directed by longtime MCC collaborator Jo Bonney (MCC's The Break of Noon, Some Girl(s), Fat Pig). Small Engine Repair begins at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street, NYC) on October 30, 2013. An official opening night is set for November 20, 2013. The official chart lists Carrie: The Musical as the #1 selling album of the week, followed by (in order of sales) Wicked, Bring It On, The Book of Mormon, Once, and Jersey Boys, all shows still running on Broadway, making Carrie's appearance atop the chart a rare feat.
