BROADWAY BACKWARDS 7, the once-a-year celebration of the gay and lesbian community, raised a record-breaking $329,000 on Monday, March 5, to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center. The new, highly provocative TV commercial for this season's smash hit, SILENCE! The Musical, is set to being airing today on most major networks. SILENCE! The Musical, the unauthorized parody of The Silence of the Lambs, with book by Hunter Bell, music & lyrics by Jon and Al Kaplan, and direction & choreography by Christopher Gattelli, opened July 9, 2011 to unanimous rave reviews. The show immediately became a sold-out phenomenon and was recently selected by Time Magazine as one of the year's Top 5 Musicals.

The 2009 Drama Desk Award winner Celebrity Autobiography performed a special one-night-only Broadway themed edition-Celebrity Autobiography Salutes the Tony Awards-on Monday, June 6 at New York's Triad Theater with a cast including Mario Cantone, Rachel Dratch, Tovah Feldshuh, Eugene Pack, Dayle Reyfel, Julian Sands, Sherri Shepherd, Carol Kane and Alan Zweibel.
