The Public Theater's free Shakespeare in the Park production of MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING began performances on Tuesday, June 3 and runs through Sunday, July 6, with an official press opening on Monday, June 16. Below, BroadwayWorld brings you a first look at the production!

Nominations for the 2014 Annual Drama Desk Awards were announced last month at 54 Below, and this morning, the honorees appeared at the 2014 Drama Desk Nominees Reception. BroadwayWorld's Richard Ridge was there and caught interviews with some of the actors nominated in the Play categories, including Tyne Daly, Hamish Linklater, J. Smith-Cameron, Chris O'Dowd, Bryan Cranston and more! In keeping with Drama Desk's mission, nominators considered shows that opened on Broadway, Off Broadway and Off-Off Broadway during the 2013-2014 New York theater season in the same competitive categories. Eligibility and award category designations for the productions under consideration this season were determined by the Drama Desk board of directors with recommendations from the nominating committee. Because of the abundance of great work throughout the season, the Board also authorized the increase in the number of nominees allowed in select categories. CLICK HERE for a full list of nominees. Drama Desk and Tony Award winner Laura Benanti ('The Sound of Music Live!', Gypsy, Women On The Verge of a Nervous Breakdown) will host the 59th Annual Drama Desk Awards on Sunday, June 1, 2014 at 8:00 PM at The Town Hall (123 W. 43rd Street).

The Public Theater (Artistic Director, Oskar Eustis; Executive Director, Patrick Willingham) began previews on May 28 for THE COMEDY OF ERRORS, the first show of The Public's 2013 season of free Shakespeare in the Park at the Delacorte. Directed by Daniel Sullivan, THE COMEDY OF ERRORS will feature Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Hamish Linklater as Dromio and Antipholus respectively and will run through Sunday, June 30. Goldblum assumes the role of Leonard in the play tonight, April 3 for an 8-week run.
