The Tank will present the World Premiere of Real, written by Rodrigo Nogueira (The Ideal Obituary at The Tank) and directed by Erin Ortman (One Thousand Nights and One Day with Prospect Theater Company) in the 99-seat theater at The Tank (312 West 36th Street between 8th and 9th Avenues), January 3-20, 2019.

LAByrinth Theater Company (Artistic Director John Ortiz) recently announced that they will present the World Premiere of Devil of Choice by LAB Member Maggie Bofill (Winners, Drawn and Quartered). They are thrilled for performances to begin Wednesday, May 23, and will run through Saturday, June 9, 2018, at The Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce Street, New York, NY 10014). Charlotte Miller's Raising Jo will receive a workshop production June 5th-10th at the Studio Theater at Theater Row. Directed by Julie Kline, the cast will feature Sarah Jes Austell (Showtime's Sweetbitter ), Chris Bellant ( Loserville ), Charlotte Graham (ART's The Tempest ), Anna Holbrook (Daytime Emmy Winner, Another World ) and Steve Payne (Albee's Me, Myself & I ). Written and directed by Rodrigo Nogueira (the latter with assistance from Valerie Mudek) and now presented at the Tank, The Ideal Obituary makes for quite the interesting play for more reasons that one. Produced in association with Torn Page and Apt 929 Studios, it is considered a dark comedy that the audience needs to dig in the darkest corner of their minds to find. The play gives the plain fact of this woman's rather bleak circumstances off the bat: once in the grasp of a debilitating sadness, she is suddenly struck with this euphoria that she will make any crude comment or travel any distance to keep; she would even sacrifice what she loves most.

The Tank (Meghan Finn and Rosalind Grush, Artistic Directors) will present the World Premiere of Brazillian playwright Rodrigo Nogueira's dark comedy, The Ideal Obituary at The Tank (312 West 36th Street between 8th and 9th Avenues) March 8-24. Performances will be Thursday through Saturday at 8pm. Tickets ($20/$15 students & seniors) are available for advance purchase at www.thetanknyc.org.

The Arctic Group has commissioned playwright Daniel Talbott (Slipping and Afghanistan, Zimbabwe, America, Kuwait) to write a new short play that will be performed on a double bill with Steve McMahon's Sad Indie Love Song in Series B of their inaugural FRIDGE Festival. The festival runs August 31 - September 10, and Series B will play Thu 8/31 at 9pm, Sun 9/3 at 7pm, Wed 9/6 9pm, and Sat 9/9 at 7pm.
