I first saw ELF when TUTS produced it back in 2013, and last year I had the absolute joy of working on a production of it at Queensbury Theatre. I'll be honest, it was a challenge for me to set aside my past experience with the show in order to see it with fresh eyes, giving myself a fair chance to experience a different cast, choreo, and designs from a reviewer's perspective. Setting aside my personal experiences with ELF, I found that this production reminded me of the things I loved most about it in the first place-the humorous quips written into the dialogue, the undeniably jolly holiday spirit, and the snappy songs that inevitably get stuck in my head.

ELF, the musical has become a traditional holiday favorite in the Bayou City and we are excited to see this whimsical story made popular by the movie starring Will Ferrell. ELF the musical has music by Matthew Sklar, lyrics by Chad Beguelin, book by Thomas Meehan and Bob Martin and is based on the New Line Cinema Film written by David Berenbaum. Amazon Prime Video announced today they will be teaming up with 6x Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter Kacey Musgraves on a Christmas themed special titled The Kacey Musgraves Christmas Show. The special, produced by Fulwell 73 Productions, will premiere globally Friday, November 29 and marks Prime Video's first foray into the holiday special space. The Kacey Musgraves Christmas Show is executive produced by Ben Winston, Emma Conway, Kacey Musgraves, and Jason Owen.
