Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater will debut the first installment in the Arena Riffs series on Wednesday, March 17 at 7 p.m. The three-part series begins with a musical memoir composed and performed by award-winning indie-folk duo Abigail and Shaun Bengson.

Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater announces its robust lineup of digital programming for the 2021/22 Looking Forward Season. Following on the success of last year's virtual offerings, the upcoming season expands even further to reflect Arena's commitment of championing diverse voices, engaging audiences and producing compelling, dynamic work. This veddy British tale of the undying love between a child and her lop-eared, sawdust-filled velveteen rabbit is a storybook treat to look at --  pretty enough to honor the classic children's book on which it is based and well played by a cast adept at posh British accents and lots of hopping.

The 31st Annual Colleagues Spring Luncheon and Oscar de la Renta will present award-winning actress Marlo Thomas with The Colleagues Champion of Children Award, which honors those who have made a lasting impact on the lives of children.

Richard Wright's iconic novel, Native Son,  streamlined into a blazing 90 minute adaptation by actor/playwright Nambi E. Kelley, will run in repertory with Les Deux Noirs: Notes on Notes of A Native Son, inspired by James Baldwin's blistening critique of Wright's controversial work. Award-winning director and playwright Psalmayene 24's stages the innovative take on Wright's masterpiece while authoring a modern reimagining of Wright's real-life meeting with Baldwin in 1953 Paris.

On December 7 & 8, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital celebrates 15 years of its Thanks and Giving campaign with a two-day holiday pop-up event in New York City's Bowery/Soho neighborhood. The public is invited to join St. Jude and its partners to learn more about the hospital's life-saving mission and share what they #GiveThanks for this holiday season. Several St. Jude celebrity friends are also planning to stop in over the course of the two days.

Over the past few years DC's Constellation Theatre Company (CTC) has branched out from its mostly classical offerings by presenting a few musicals. They include the blockbusters Avenue Q and Urinetown and one lesser known entity – the Andrew Lippa version of The Wild Party. In all three cases, the shows fit perfectly into CTC's home at Source.

Constellation Theatre Company continues its 2018/19 Season: Epic Love with Elton John and Tim Rice's epic musical Aida. Aida will perform from October 11 - November 18, 2018 at Source, at 1835 14th Street NW, Washington DC 20009.

In honor of the historic Orpheum Theatre's 90th birthday, the Orpheum Theatre Group launched a campaign on Friday, June 2nd to restore the theatre's Mighty Wurlitzer organ to its 1928 splendor.
