To the five women ~ Kathleen Berger, Brenda Goodenberger, Marie Gouba, Alanna Kalbfleisch, Alexandra Utpadel ~ and four men ~ Tony Blosser, Ken Goodenberger, Roger Nelson, Dominik Rebilas ~ who grace the Theater Works stage in the 29th Season opening production of I Get a Kick Out of Cole.

National Pastime is a new Broadway-bound musical that pays homage to the screwball comedies of the 1930's and '40s. It tells the story of WZBQ, a near bankrupt radio station in a small Depression-era town and its hometown team, the Baker City Cougars, the greatest baseball team to NEVER exist!

Producer Jason Hewitt has announced the Phoenix opening of National Pastime, an original baseball musical comedy by Tony Sportiello and Al Tapper, starting today, March 7th and running through March 30th. The show, which originated at the Peter Jay Sharp Theater in Manhattan, has already had productions in Washington, D.C., Austin, Texas and Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.

Directed by Michael Barakiva and choreographed by Brodway's Mimi Quillin, the production features Brodway veterans Patrick Ryan Sullivan as Harold Hill and Teri Bibb as Marian Paroo.
