Today, the Off-Broadway League announces the date and venue for the 25th Annual Lucille Lortel Awards for Outstanding Achievement Off-Broadway. This year's ceremony will benefit The Actors Fund and will be held on Sunday, May 2, 2010 at Terminal 5, 610 West 56th Street. NAKED BOYS SINGING!, the fifteen-song celebration of the male form will hit yet another milestone: it will celebrate its tenth anniversary on Saturday July 25th. The Naked Boys are appearing on New World Stages Stage 4, graciously shared with the other (clothed) Boyz of New World Stages: Altar Boyz! New World Stages is located at 340 West 50th Street, between 8th & 9th Avenues. Naked Boys plays Fridays at 10:30pm and Saturday evenings at 6pm.

As a disheartening number of shows are closing, Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU) opens up possibilities for tomorrow?s productions with an all-day intensive workshop about crucial aspects of raising money for theater on Saturday, January 24 from 10am?6pm at The Players Theatre, 115 MacDougal Street (below W. 3rd Street), NYC. It?s a tough economy, no doubt about it. All the more reason why people need support and the skills to go about the business of producing. Attendees will acquire basic tools and information that will help them to function effectively in these times and the better days that are surely ahead. From networking techniques to legal requirements and effective business planning, plus a wealth of first-hand experience from more than a half dozen producers who are currently active in the Broadway and off-Broadway worlds, TRU promises an informative, empowering and inspiring day.

The event will honor producing maverick Ken Davenport and Arlene Romoff, advocate for open captioning for live theater, at a luncheon benefit on Sunday, November 9, 2008 at Caroline's on Broadway. The event, themed 'Believe ... in the possibilities of theater,' begins with a cocktail hour reception at noon followed by a luncheon at 1pm, with entertainment and an awards ceremony to start at 1:45 and a Silent Auction throughout the afternoon.
